Before the iconic air horn goes off in Honda Center signaling the Anaheim Ducks arrival on the ice, or before Dawn Wright belts out her amazing vocals during the national anthem, fans want somewhere to get their grub on or drink down a cold brew. Fans are blessed to have many bars and restaurants located in its general area. Here are our top ten.
The Catch Restaurant
Come in and take advantage of their happy hour that runs from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 4 to 7 p.m. on weekends. Happy hour includes various food items and $7 premium well drinks and $6 taps ales and lagers, as well as $8 select cocktails and $7 select wines. For those who want to indulge, the Catch offers their signature item, which is the OMG burger challenge, a gut buster consisting of six pounds worth of meat, cheese, veggies, and sauce served with four pounds of fries.

Legends Brewing
Located in the heart of the Platinum Triangle, where many craft breweries have set up shop in recent years, Legends Brewing stands out on it’s own with its unique tasting room and laid-back atmosphere. What makes Legends stand out is their collection of lager beers like the Wild Child and the Double Stuff.

Backstreet Brewery
Since moving to Anaheim from Irvine in 2015, Backstreet Brewery has seen a supportive welcome from the city and have made their presence in the area by having their brews on tap at Disney’s California Adventure. Duck fans can pregame with some of Backstreet’s popular beers such as the Tomahawk double IPA, Beach Party blond, or—to kick it up a notch—the Mango Habanero hefeweizen. While patrons enjoy their beer, they can sit on the outdoor patio, complete with bench seating as well as Jenga and corn hole sets.

The Ranch Restaurant
Known as one of the top country bars in Orange County, The Ranch draws plenty of clientele to its renown saloon for an evening of line dancing and live bands, however, The Ranch is also an upscale restaurant, in which hockey fans can enjoy a meal before heading to the game. The Ranch works in correlation with the Honda Center for all Ducks games and concert events and offers their pre-concert menu, that offers a three-course dinner.

Zov’s Restaurant and Bar
Located below the Stadium Lofts at the corner of State College and Katella, this Mediterranean style kitchen and bar puts a unique spin on bar food classics like the lamb burger, dirty fries, and lamb gyro pizza. What really draws fans to this bar is the bar itself, as it draws more of a different clientele and an escape from the up-tempo and energetic sports bars in the area.

JT Schmids
Located directly across the street from Honda Center, this place sets the perfect example of what a pregame spot should be for hockey fans. Make sure to get to this place early though, it fills up quickly and sometimes it’s hard to find a table for your group. JT’s has become a popular spot for fan clubs. The bar will take up sizable groups as well thanks to their expansive patio ranging from 40 to 150 people. JT Schmids offers a wide variety of cuisine ranging from bar basics to upscale items like seafood and ribs. On game nights, the bar will feature cocktail deals, with new drinks for patrons to try. JT Schmidt’s describes themselves a one stop shop for all tasting preferences.

Tilted Kilt
Located by the Century movie theater, this spot is within a 10-minute walk from the Honda Center. The Tilted Kilt serves as a primary pregame bar thanks to its expansive bar and projection screen, while serving everything from craft beer to specialty hockey-themed cocktails such as the Ducks Rita and Strawberry Faceoff. The Kilt has always served as the primary Ducks spot even when the team is on the road, hosting watch parties and offering giveaways by the Ducks Street team. Happy hour at Tilted Kilt runs until 6 p.m.

Pint House
The Pint House is just a 10- to 15-minute walk from the Honda Center. This bar/restaurant features a large assortment many award-winning craft beers and cocktails. Many Ducks fans flock to this place before games to enjoy their social hour which runs from Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. and all day on Sunday. Fans can enjoy the $2 off draft beers and well cocktails, as well as house wine. All featured food items on the social hour menu range from $5 to $8 which ranges from chips and fire roasted salsa to their coffee-stout infused Black Phoenix chili fries.

Danny K’s Billiards Bar
Labeled as one of Orange County’s largest pool halls, Danny K’s is within a 20-minute walking distance from the Honda Center. With its many pool tables, Duck fans can shoot a round and enjoy a cool beer before heading to the game. Happy hour goes from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and includes $1 off on Premium and Domestic drafts, mixed drinks, wines, and appetizers. Any 12’ pizza is $2 off, and $1.50 shredded beef tacos.

Standing O
Located on the bottom level of the Honda Center, Standing O Restaurant and Bar provides that lively pregame atmosphere. The bar is open to all fans who have a ticket and has a vast seating capacity of 250 patrons. Fans can munch on the chef-inspired craft menu that includes gourmet sharable dishes like wings, gastropub-style burgers, and their signature O-Fries.
