5 Best Nachos You’ll Find on the Las Vegas Strip

These Distinctly Delicious Las Vegas Nacho Dishes are Perfect for Sharing… or Not

Written by: Rob Holbrook 5 Best Nachos You’ll Find on the Las Vegas Strip

This distinctively American invention has seen numerous and diverse incantations all over the globe. You can take ’em down on your own, or share ’em with friends. No other fare is as good to share, and leaves you so satiated. Here are five top spots on The Las Vegas Strip to satisfy your nacho need.

Combo Nachos
Diablo’s Cantina

Whenever faced with the option of all or one, always choose the former. This basic tenet of my personal philosophy guides the nacho selection at Diablo’s Cantina. Taking down a classic pile of Combo Nachos, where wood-grilled skirt steak and slow-roasted chicken combined with a blend of Mexican cheeses, should warm up your beer pong arm sufficiently for the rest of the summer House Party Thursdays at Diablo’s.

Native Knowledge: A Wheel of Sin at Diablo’s lengthy daily happy hour from 3-7 p.m. keeps things interesting every 30 minutes with changing drink specials.

Volcano Nachos
Margaritaville Las Vegas

You may not be thinking to yourself, “that Jimmy Buffett really knows nachos, ” but share the Volcano Nachos with a friend or three and you’ll all be begging for Parrothead instatement without ever hearing “Cheeseburger In Paradise.” The generous portion of chili over chips with guacamole and jalapenos will have you refilling your water, and your margarita (be careful with the Blueberry Moonshine Margarita!), more than once.

Native Knowledge: For tequila aficionados, Margaritaville offers housemade sangrita—a spicy-sweet, tomato juice-based accompaniment popular south of the border and in tropical environs—with any pour of its extensive menu of blue agave. So good!

Irish Nachos
Nine Fine Irishmen

Of course, no feature about nachos is complete without the Irish rendition somewhere within. Nine Fine Irishmen’s take on the Irish-American dish holds up against any nachos you’d find at a Mexican food joint. The perfectly sliced potatoes, chive aioli and beer-cheese sauce put these nachos on the same level. Add meat, like corned beef, and you’d have to pull out your Stiff Little Fingers vinyl to get a more authentic taste of the Emerald Isle.

Native Knowledge: Jump on the happy hour specials and stay for the live music. Irish pubs rule!

Siberian Nachos
Red Square Las Vegas

I know what you’re thinking: Russian nachos? Yes, it’s a thing—at least in the inventive minds of Red Square brass. The longtime vodka lounge and restaurant is known to give Russian twists on American favorites, so it should come as no surprise to find Siberian nachos are a popular menu item. The wonton chips substitute perfectly for tortilla chips with a lighter, crunchier texture and the smoked salmon, wasabi cream, chive and tobiko create a flavor explosion. Wash it all down with a vodka flight, and you’ll be wondering what that Cold War thing was ever all about.

Native Knowledge: Ever had caviar at happy hour? Step behind the Iron Curtain twice daily for awesome cocktail specials and some of the best bar bites anywhere.

Drunken Nachos
Yolo’s Mexican Grille

The festive surroundings of Yolo’s Mexican Grille in Planet Hollywood are enough to get you drunk on fun. Throw in the Drunken Nachos—with smoky chicken tinga, green chile crema, and a three-cheese blend—a fresh fruit concoction from the outstanding margarita bar, and you just may get drunk on food and drink, as well. Yolo’s fuses traditional Mexican favorites with international influences from Latin America, the Pacific Rim and the Caribbean, so no matter your appetite, this popular Mexican grille keeps you satisfied. A $5 happy hour, and $9.95 lunch and late-night specials will have you popping in at any time of day.

Native Knowledge: Rumba Thursdays is Yolo’s version of a Latin night, where there’s no cover, a live DJ and drink specials that will give anyone the liquid courage to sweat off those cocktails on the dance floor.
