Seated under a giant palapa on a warm day, sipping an ice-cold margarita, and listening to the vocal stylings of Ricky Martin – this might sound like the perfect Mexican vacation, but La Vida Cantina offers its guests this and more on a daily basis. Located in Triangle Square in Costa Mesa, La Vida Cantina brings the perfect blend of delicious food and lively ambiance. For those already acquainted with La Vida Cantina, you probably are familiar with their delectable menu – tacos, margaritas, excellent chips and salsa, but unless you’ve paid them a visit recently, you’ll be pleasantly surprised with their new, Instagram-worthy menu items.

Elote

The Elote, or Mexican-style corn, makes for the perfect appetizer. Three pieces of corn on the cob sprinkled with paprika, mayo, cotija cheese, and lime, is a great way to start off your meal. This sweet and flavorful dish is sure to please anyone’s palate.

Flight of the Guacamole

Not only does it sound like the title of an excellent movie, the Flight of the Guacamole offers diners a variety of seasonal flavors. Share guacamole with pieces of mango, pomegranate seeds, or black beans. Be sure to ask your waiter for the different flavors they’re serving when you order!

Ceviche Trio Tostaditas

Fun to say, and delicious – this appetizer has the perfect amount of lime, sweetness, and just enough crunchiness to complement the texture of the fish. Crunchy tostaditas piled high with shrimp, ahi tuna, and cod, topped with mango salsa and guacamole; you’ll be wanting more than three.

Borracho Fries

These fries are everything you’ve ever wanted – fried eggs and carnitas sitting atop fries with jack cheese, guacamole, and pico de gallo.

“The Borracho Fries are so flavor – they have everything! You get breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the same plate,” said Executive Chef, Juan Carlos.

Hawaiian Margarita

Mix up your Mexican getaway and order the Hawaiian Margarita. This off-menu item is a beautiful hue of orange that looks great in pictures! Order it for a wonderful tropical flavor to help get you through the week.

Ginger Mint Margarita

Another off-menu item, the Ginger Mint Margarita will have you feeling like you’re spending the day at a spa. Light, refreshing, and delicious, you won’t be able to get enough of this marg!
