Tuesday
I enjoy great Mexican food and San Diegans are big fans of Taco Tuesday. I recommend eating at Miguel’s Cocina located in Carlsbad or 4S Ranch. The restaurant is a local favorite and a can’t-miss stop if visiting North County. My favorite is their Jalapeño white sauce served with chips. Fun-Filled Week
Wednesday
If you’re visiting North County you can’t miss out on the fabulous shopping opportunities. The Carlsbad Outlet stores and the stores at The Forum are my favorite. For food shopping, we are lucky to have farmers markets in North County San Diego to shop every day of the week. Fun-Filled Week
Thursday
If you’re a fine dining connoisseur, then a visit to Addison in the Grand Del Mar is a must. Addison is Southern California’s only Five-Star/ Five-Diamond dining experience located at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar. The Fairmont Grand Del Mar is also San Diego’s only Five Diamond hotel and recently voted the most luxurious hotel in California by TripAdvisor.
Friday
Summer means race season in Del Mar. Friday’s provide a great opportunity to visit the world renowned Del Mar Race Track and watch some exciting horse racing and enjoy great concerts featuring some of today’s greatest bands. I enjoy dining at Pamplemousse Grille in Del Mar after the races conclude.
Saturday
I’m an outdoor enthusiast and enjoy the various outdoor opportunities available in North County. The trails at Calavera Lake in Carlsbad and trails within the Torrey Pines Natural Reserve are some of my favorite hiking trails and offer beautiful views of nature.
Sunday
North County is the center of the golf industry with most of the major golf companies located in close proximity. My favorite courses include Torrey Pines, La Costa, Aviara and El Camino Country Club.
