Get Ready to Roar for Beer and Karaoke

The zoo falls among one of the many places that remind us of our childhood. Running from exhibit to exhibit, reading (or maybe not) about the many different creatures and getting as close to them as we possibly could was all part of the fun. The charm of visiting the zoo is still alive and well. Bring in some drinks, and you’ve got yourself one heck of a night. This Aug. 4, let the nocturnal animal in you come out at the 7th Annual Brew at the LA Zoo, one of LA’s most popular 21+ events! You won’t want to miss out on this wild time, and here’s why.

Drinking

With over 50 craft and microbreweries sharing their best brews, come prepared to sample the best ales, stouts, IPAs, lagers, ciders and more! The brewery lineup includes locals like Angel City Brewery, Beachwood BBQ and Brewing, Captain Fatty’s, San Fernando Brewing Company, Shock Top, Golden Road and many more! Your ticket will give you access to 5-ounce samples from the nectar of the gods.

Music

What is an event without great music? At Brew at the LA Zoo, there will be plenty of tunes throughout the zoo to add to the fun (as if drinks and animals weren’t enough). Keep an eye out for some live music performers. Feel like busting a move? There will be four live bands, dancing and a DJ. Want to partake in some classic drinking fun? Show off your pipes with some good old karaoke!

Eating

When you drink, you get hungry. It’s only natural. Luckily, Brew at the LA Zoo has got you covered. Take a break between sampling some brews by eating some pub-style grub to help soak in the booze! Try Zoo Grill or Churro Factory, plus a BBQ menu at La Casita, Bavarian glazed cinnamon roasted almonds at Linde’s Almonds, kettle corn and garlic fries near the flamingos habitat, chicken wings and nachos at Cafe Pico, beer brats and hot dogs at Carousel Plaza and Elephant Circle and tacos near the Koala House! Yum!

Animals

It wouldn’t be a zoo event without meeting some animals. Because the event takes place in the evening, many of the animals will have headed back into their night quarters to get some sleep. But do keep an eye out for up-close encounters with some of the zoo’s smaller residents, open animal habitats and chances to learn more about some of the animal residents through some Zoo Keeper Talks.

Affordable Pricing

Advance tickets to Brew at the LA Zoo are $65, $55 for Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association members and $25 for designated drivers. VIP tickets with access to exclusive lounges, complimentary food and drinks and early 6 p.m. entry can be purchased for $125. If available, tickets bought at the door will be priced at $75, or $65 for Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association members.
