Monday

It’s Monday, so for me that means COFFEE—more than the usual morning! And not just any old coffee. Somehow grabbing a morning brew from La Provence Patisserie makes the whole day flow better. I love the French feel, local, neighborhood vibe and of course, the gorgeous freshly made pastries. You know things are fresh when you are stepping aside for the pastry chef who has a hot platter of goodies ready each time you’re there. Try the Raspberry Jam Bran Muffin.

Tuesday

The week is in full swing and it’s time for a cocktail. I typically grab a girlfriend and hit the bar at Baltaire, my favorite Westside steakhouse. They make a mean martini and a game changing Ahi Tuna poke. The live music and soft lighting make it the perfect ambiance. It doesn’t hurt that weeknights are a flutter with handsome men in suits. Cheers!

Wednesday

Mid week mani/pedis have become a ritual. My go-to is the “Alice” from Olive and June because it includes paraffin for softening and a heavenly 15-minute massage. After that, I’m known to hit La Scala for their famous chopped salad. It’s a simple salad and truly delicious.

Thursday

A morning workout at Equinox Beverly Hills, usually the “Streamline Sculpt” class gets me energized for a busy Thursday. A local and homey sushi spot I love that I often walk to in my neighborhood at dusk is Summer Fish and Rice. Try their Crispy Rice and the Killer Roll. Yum!

Friday

I like to start and end early on Fridays. If it’s been a good week, I reward myself with a stroll through Planet Blue, which may or may not result in the purchase of a cute new Flynn Skye maxi dress or delicate Jacqueline Aiche necklace. I deserve it, right? Speaking of deserving, Friday nights often find a group of friends and I at our favorite Mexican restaurant, Don Antonio‘s. Arguably, the best homestyle Mexican food on the Westside. I’ve been coming here for 15 years. We love the patio, the Skinny Margaritas made with Don Julio Tequila and the Carne Asada Tacos.

Saturdays

I try to really unplug on Saturdays. A drive to Santa Monica, parking near Shutter’s and a long walk on the beach really gets me in Saturday mode. Follow that with a stop into M Street Kitchen for a bag of their famous freshly baked English Muffins to go and it’s a perfect morning.

Sundays

No matter the season, the secret little old lady in me loves a Sunday afternoon movie at the Landmark Theater on Pico more than anything. Coffee and a movie on a Sunday afternoon takes me to another land. Sunday early dinners have become a tradition and we do love our Italian food on a Sunday night. My fave? Terroni. I keep it simple. Spaghetti with fresh tomato, basil and garlic with a big glass of red wine. Molto Bene!
