A Week in the Life of Venice Pro-Kitesurfer/Artist Gretta Kruesi
Gretta Kruesi, Beach Cruiser, LLC CEO and Founder
Start the week off right with a breakfast burrito and coffee from Bellisimo. Check the morning surf at Venice Breakwater. After a few waves grab some Poke to-go from Poke Poke and swing by Sherwin Williams to pick up paints for my next art installation.
I head down to El Porto to surf and take some meetings at Silicon Beach LA headquarters. I stop by Hayden Shapes in El Segundo to pick up a new Hyptokrypto board. I take some friends around town on a bike ride along the boardwalk and through Venice canals. We end up at High Rooftop at Hotel Erwin for a sunset drink.
I grab some food to-go from the Whaler and clear coat the paintings I just finished for outside the restaurant. Wind is up, so I hit south of the Venice pier in Marina del Rey to go kitesurfing with the local BWSurf crew.
Photo shoot with photographer Kelly Fajack for Amuse Society. It’s a long day of shooting, and I look forward to some good food and company at Scopa then catching my buddy Kai Brown’s band play at Witzend.
Paint day! Spend the day working on a new mural for Beautify Earth and grab some sushi from my local happy hour spot Canal Club. I’m excited to wear my new Electric and Rose yoga clothes, so I sneak in a mid-day class at yoga works.
Shopping Day! I stop by Growler Goods to grab a new leash and some doggy treats for Bahia. Then I pick out some adorable For Love and Lemons skivvy’s from Planet Blue, pick up my dry cleaning from Ogdens and swing by Deux for their monthly event. I end the night with the girls and catch up over dinner at Axe.
Pick up a green juice from Kreation and some product from Meundies on Abbott Kinney and hop in an Uber to LAX for a surf lifestyle shoot with the super talented Jana Cruder.
