L.A.vation (“The World’s Greatest U2 Tribute Band”) will kick off Palm Desert’s Spring Concert Series at the Civic Center Amphitheater on Thursday, May 4, at 7:30 p.m. Concertgoers are encouraged to sample mouthwatering mobile culinary creations from onsite food trucks, or bring their own picnic dinner along with blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the show. The Family YMCA of the Desert will offer children’s games and activities prior to the concert. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are prohibited.

The free concert, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., features Dallas and Doll and is open to the first 500 guests who RSVP.  Concertgoers will enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres and desserts provided by Desert Willow Executive Chef François Gaertner and receive a 20th Anniversary commemorative gift.
