Travis Carter, Lead Mixologist and General Manager at Harvest by The Patio

Travis Carter is a seasoned veteran of the drinks scene, spending the majority of his bar career traveling and learning about different cocktail cultures across the United States. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Travis takes great pride in making the intimidating world of craft beverage approachable and comfortable to any drinker by using simple, salt-of-the-earth ingredients and fusing them with modern technique. He exhibits a profound reverence for the traditions and origins of the cocktail, while carving his own path in the contemporary bar scene.

 

Justin Huelbig, Bartender at Salvucci’s

Jersey native, with a taste of adventure. He spent the better part of last year road-tripping across the country tasting the best craft cocktails the states have to offer. With an extensive background in Graphic Design he brings a unique and innovative approach to every drink he mixes. Justin creates a welcoming and inclusive experience at Salvucci’s leaving a lasting impression on every guest he encounters.

 

Kerin Sovern, Bartender at Social Tap Eatery

The contemporary, yet comfortable restaurant and bar goes by the motto, “Eat, Drink and Be Social” and has quickly earned recognition as the vibrant neighborhood hangout with ample sports viewing capabilities and a top-notch bar menu. Social Tap Eatery has esteemed customer service and quality high-end fare for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Behind the bar, you will find Kerin Sovern, who helped Social Tap Eatery open their East Village location, slinging delectable drinks for locals who come to see her.  

 

Elena Merino, Lead Bartender at Bottega Americano

Elena, a San Diego native, loves mixing up cool and refreshing cocktails for the summer heat. A winner of the 2015 “I Am Woman Hear Me Pour” Sycamore Den female bartending competition, Elena is a force to be reckoned with. Creating herbal, smoky, or spins on classic cocktails is what she does best. However, coming from a craft beer background, she will never turn down a great stout.

 

Hagan Schenck, Bar Manager and Mixologist at Stella Public House

From NYC’s cocktail scene, Hagan Schenck has plunged right into San Diego’s movement. Having the witty, edgy and knowledgeable background, no cocktail is out of reach for this Lad. Being personable and well spoken, every experience is amplified while indulging in his craft. Seeming to have a firm grip on making your night tip top, it’s no wonder he’s included on this list.

 

Adele Stratton, Mixologist at Noble Experiment

A curious step into CH Project’s hidden bar and a chance introduction with CH owner, Nate Stanton, lead a barely 21 year old Adele Statton to a fleeting decision to change career and embark on the journey in hospitality. Gaining ranks from being a hostess, Statton uses her strong background in classics to stir-up her own formulas behind the bar at the nationally ranked Noble Experiment.

 

Trevor Bowles, Bar Manager at You & Yours Distilling Co.

Born and raised in San Diego, Trevor Bowles is the bar manager for California’s first urban distillery You & Yours Distilling Co. With a love for people and gin, Trevor is the man behind many of the cocktails at You & Yours. His background is in hospitality, where he worked at Bencotto Italian Kitchen and CH Holdings before joining the You & Yours team. Trevor’s favorite thing about bartending is the people. From the staff to a guest, it has always been about the people and creating a special experience. Trevor’s favorite cocktail on the You & Yours menu is the Peel Out, a refreshing rosemary grapefruit gin cocktail.
