Escape the Mundane and Head to the Desert for a Weekend of Unforgettable Music, Beer and Wine
Written By: Quintan Valles Rhythm Wine and Brews
For those seeking a cultural explosion of flavors, sights and sounds this upcoming month, the sixth annual Rhythm, Wine and Brews Experience happening Saturday, March 4th is sure to be a treat for music, wine and beer lovers. The event will take place in the spacious fields of Indio’s Empire Polo Club where guests will enjoy tasty libations and eats from a myriad of craft breweries, wineries and food trucks. Guests will also have an opportunity to see live performances from some of the most recognized and respected hip hop, reggae and surf-rock artists in the music industry.
This year’s musical entertainment will include artists like Pepper; the Hawaiian born reggae rock band that is responsible for hits like “Give It Up,” “Wasting Time” and “Face Plant.” Headlining the show this year will be the very talented Snoop Dogg; the hip hop artist who has been laying down hit tracks since 1992.
There to quench your sophisticated thirst will be both local and not so local wineries such as MoonWalker Cellars; whose micro-produced wines make their way straight from the Central Coast of California. And for those who would rather opt for a beverage with a little more hop, there will be many craft breweries to choose from including the local Ritual Brewing Co; whose home in Redlands is just 60 miles west of the fields where guests will be sipping Ritual’s refreshing Hop-O-Matic India Pale Ale.
If all that drinking works up an appetite, you can get your grub on at any of the delicious food trucks that will be serving up goodies ranging from the sumptuously savory to the sinfully sweet. You may want to sink your teeth into a cheesy signature melt created by The Grilled Cheese Truck, then follow it up by satisfying your sweet tooth with the always decadent Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.
For those who want to make the experience a little more memorable, the VIP pass will include early admission with an extra hour of unlimited tastings of wine or beer, as well as access to the VIP tasting lounge that will include specialty wine and beer that is not available in the general tasting area. The pass will also grant access to the Locale Magazine lounge and bar and an invitation to the Friday night bottle share and kick off party happening March 3rd. VIP guests of the kick off party will have an opportunity to bring and share bottles of craft beer while enjoying live music in the gorgeous Hacienda del Toro garden at the Empire Polo Club.
The Rhythm, Wine and Brews Experience is not just a desert oasis of great music, food and drinks, it is also a contributor to the Casey Lee Ball Foundation, a non-profit organization which gives one hundred percent of every donation to pediatric kidney research. So not only would you be able to spend some well-deserved leisure time at one of the most exciting events of the desert, but you would also be aiding in life saving research that unfortunately receives very little attention.
Make the Rhythm, Wine and Brews Experience a “must do” for you and some friends to welcome in the spring with some fine drinks and grooving tunes at what is sure to be one of the most remarkable events of the year.
