There is no shortage of outstanding restaurants in Newport Beach but sometimes, you simply want great food in a casual atmosphere for a reasonable price…so where can you find such a gem? The Lighthouse Bayview Cafe at Marina Park in Newport Beach is right on the sand and is the perfect place for a fantastic meal, in a beautiful setting, for the right price. With the addition of the new nightly dinner specials, there is something for everyone. As Tad Belshe, Managing Partner of The Lighthouse Bayview Cafe explains, “We want to offer the locals a neighborhood restaurant with great food, perfect ambiance and an amazing view at a reasonable price so that they continue to come back regularly. It’s a combination that can be hard to find in this area.”

Executive Chef Ryan Sumner, has created innovative dishes that you would ordinarily find in fine dining restaurants. Tad admits; “I may be biased, but the dishes that Ryan creates are not only delicious but unique. Customers keep commenting on how amazing the food is.”

Now featuring chef’s nightly specials, starting at 4 p.m. until closing, starting at just $7.95 you can indulge in lots of great options and taste for yourself.

The menu offers so much to choose from and no matter what day you visit, you will enjoy a great meal. I can personally vouch for that! My husband and I had a wonderful meal on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and really, you gotta love a restaurant on the beach that gives everyone sitting on the patio their own blanket! Another tip: make sure to leave room for dessert. We had the incredible warm white chocolate macadamia cookie topped with vanilla ice cream, caramel and chocolate sauce and it was truly one of the best desserts we’ve ever tasted.

If you are looking to host a fabulous event, The Lighthouse Catering Team can make it happen with customizable menus, decor rentals, and event professionals to help you plan every detail. Choose the banquet room overlooking the bay or all that great food can come to your destination of choice. Even if you are just cruising by in your boat, there is catering available just for the boater on the go.

For the Brunch crowd, The Lighthouse Cafe doesn’t disappoint. From 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. every weekend you can partake in such delights as Banana Pecan Bread Pudding French Toast, Traditional or Florentine Veggie Sausage or Blue Crab Benedicts or an Artichoke Omelette. If Bloody Marys are your thing, then you can’t miss The Buddy’s Bloody-served in a mason jar, it’s a meal in itself.

Next time you’re looking for a delicious meal, a place to relax and a gorgeous view, look no further than The Lighthouse Bayview Cafe and get ready to add a new favorite to your list.
