It’s no secret that San Diego hosts thousands of visitors every summer season who flood in to soak up the sun, kick back and let loose in this unique city. Whether you are visiting for a much-needed vacation or looking to get away from your everyday life here in SD, there are tons of different places and neighborhoods to escape to. If you want to stay Downtown, you’ll be livin’ the city life with tons of great bars and restaurants right under your feet. If you’re looking for a bit of history and some peace and quiet, Coronado might be the family vacation spot you’ve always dreamed of. However, if you’re looking for a gorgeous beachfront property, close to all of the action but secluded at the same time, there’s no place like Mission Beach.

Mission Beach is a gem located just down the road from all of Pacific Beach’s nightlife, yet far enough away from your daily chaos that it still feels relaxing. Plus, Mission Beach has a lot going on with Belmont Park, bars and restaurants of its own. Belmont Park is an amusement park featuring mini golf, a giant infamous rollercoaster, lots of arcade games and more! It makes for a great night out with family, friends, or even a great date night. After winning some prizes you can enjoy some sunset sushi at Cannonball, which is located upstairs and provides some amazing views, or grab a drink at Draft. There is no shortage of places to cool off and hang out with some good food and drinks. The accommodations to stay at aren’t half bad either—you can rent a house right on the ocean! Courtesy of Luv Surf, We at Locale have the perfect house to introduce you into why Mission Beach is so perfect.

Known as the Flagship Home, this house is not only gorgeous, but has a long line of history here in San Diego. It was originally built and owned by a local SD lifeguard in 1928 and then passed down to his children over the years. In 2007 John Greenhalgh, another SD lifetime lifeguard, became the owner and added quite a few notable portions of the house. Four generations of lifeguards have added their charm and taste to this property, so it inhabits all the beachy qualities you can imagine.

Aside from the charm, it also features four bedrooms, three baths, several decks around the property and more than 1800 sq. feet to work with. It can fit up to 10 guests comfortably, making it the perfect spot to rent with a big group of friends or family. Pets are also welcome! Other amenities at the property include flat screen HD TVs, Wi-Fi for all, a patio complete with a gas BBQ & fire pit, stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, a spacious garage and tons of beach toys, chairs and bikes to use. Did we mention that the home also comes fully stocked with fresh coffee beans from Swell Coffee Co.? A local cafe owned by Luv Surf! Talk about local flavor! If you care to venture off the property, the vacation home rental company also owns Saska’s Steak and Seafood, which has been a local gem for nearly 65 years in Mission Beach.

Not only is this house in an amazing location that will have you feeling miles away from wherever chaos may be, but it is also stocked and ready to go with all you need for a great vacation. Picture yourself enjoying a fresh cup of coffee outside on the deck in the mornings, staring out at the ocean and then find out how soon you can book this property and get your friends onboard!
