On Sept. 10 and 11, come to the Coronado Ferry Landing for the delightful Coronado Art Walk. It is their 11th anniversary and this art show features paintings, photography, ceramics, hand crafted jewelry and other galleries. These happenings around the venue will be sure to tickle your artistic senses.
Come celebrate American Bluegrass music at the Santee Bluegrass Festival! Taking place on Sept. 10, the festival features live Bluegrass music from renowned musicians, food sampling, beer and wine tasting, silent auction and opportunity drawing.
Held at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, KAABOO is an event that best exemplifies the San Diegan spirit. The 3-day music festival goes from September 16 to 18, and features big names like
Jimmy Buffet and the Coral Reefer Band, Aerosmith, Jack Johnson, The Chainsmokers, Ludacris and more. There will be something for everyone, as the Kaaboo mixperience also includes hilarious comedy acts, mouth-watering culinary demonstrations, a luxe beauty boutique, and contemporary art exhibitions. KAABOO will surely provide an epic weekend for all the attendees.
Join the Poway Rodeo for a fun and authentic rodeo show experience. This year’s show will take place on Sept. 23 and 24. It features tons of activities and shows that are suitable for audiences of all ages, including a beauty pageant crowning ceremony and kids challenges.
Started by New Belgium Brewing, Tour de Fat is an event that raises awareness for using bicycles as a sustainable form of transportation. The bike parade will take place on Sept. 24, and it also features live music, dance competition and of course, brews.
The Encinitas Chamber of Commerce Oktoberfest just celebrated their 20th birthday last year, and will continue on October 2 to keep the ball rolling. Sponsored by local craft powerhouses like Ballast Point, Green Flash and many more, this brew festival is going to keep the Oktoberfest tradition alive and thriving.
The annual Del Mar International Horse Show is a massive two-week event that spans from the 12th to the 30th of October. It takes place at one of California’s finest horse show venues—the Del Mar Fairgrounds, which is also home to many other fairs and festivals. The 370-acre property is sure to attract elite horses and riders worldwide for one giant competition.
This year’s Pedal the Cause San Diego is taking place in Petco Park, and it’s bigger and better than ever! Founded by two-time lymphoma survivor Bill Koman, Pedal the Cause is a non-profit organization that raises money for cancer research and shines light on the cause with a team cycling event. Sign up for various distance goals up to 100 miles to show your dedication for cancer research!
Named after the former San Diego Police Department, the Headquarters at Seaport Village has become one of the most visited spots in SD. All aboard the Hornblower cruise! The weekly Sunday brunch cruise by Hornblower has always been a must-go spot with friends and family. The Bow Wow Brunch Cruise is a pet-friendly edition of the infamous brunch, and will be taking place on Sunday Oct. 9. Bring your “fur child” along and enjoy a pet buffet! All proceeds will go towards helping Helen Woodward Animal Center.

San Diego’s Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is an annual Halloween celebration on November 1 and 2. The free and festive event is to celebrate the cultural and historical significance of Old Town and Halloween. Come dressed up and visit the altars on the second day, along with engaging in family craft activities.
Looking to flex your muscles and test your toughness? The annual Boot Camp Challenge hosted by MCRD has got you covered. Taking place on October 1 at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot located near the SD Airport, this boot camp style obstacle course will resemble marine training and be accompanied by MCRD Drill Instructors.

Come to the SD Veterans Day Parade on November 11 to pay respects to all soldiers and celebrate the 71st anniversary of WWII victory and peace. The parade starts on N Harbor Drive, and extends one mile past Broadway, the USS Midway and continues on Harbor Drive one block east to Pacific Highway.
