Wood Ranch BBQ & Grill Has You Covered This National BBQ Month

Let’s Get Saucy: This San Diego Spot Brings the Kick

Most diners over the age of five try not to wear their meals. And aside from Crossfit-crazed paleo fanatics, most of us try to eat with utensils instead of going caveman-style and gnawing our food off the bone. But if you secretly crave a sauce-based mustache and have a strong desire to let your carnivorous instincts take over, then May is your month! Social norms be damned because the bibs are coming off and the wet naps will remain unused in a celebration of National BBQ month!

With popular items like the All-American Baby Back Ribs and Wood Ranch Tri-Tip, Wood Ranch BBQ in Mission Valley is the ideal spot to celebrate the saucy month of May. Vegetarians don’t need to worry about being left out, either. Wood Ranch has a variety of entrees that are suited for even the greenest of eaters.

“Our veggie burger is really good. We make it ourselves, and it’s not an attempt to make vegetables taste like meat,” Wood Ranch partner Alejandro Rojas said. He also added that there are a variety of salads available, with options to substitute portobello mushrooms for chicken.

For the carnivores, Carolina Pulled Pork and the Double R Ranch® Brisket are topping the lists of most popular items. The Ultimate BBQ sandwich is also a top selling dish. And after just a few months on the menu, the Certified Angus Beef Giant Short Rib is gaining its own following. Regardless of what a diner may choose, they can be assured that their meal will be full of flavor and have a special Wood Ranch touch that sets it apart.

From sandwiches to salads, to seafood and steaks, Wood Ranch has something that will please just about any palate. Side dish offerings are plentiful, too, giving diners the ability to customize their meal. Whether you’re craving some creamy macaroni and cheese or an ear of corn, there will be something that excites your tastebuds. Across the board, guests rave about the garlic rolls. While just what makes them so special is top secret, everyone agrees that they don’t disappoint.

“If we told you what was in them, we’d have to feed you a dozen to keep you quiet,” Rojas said.

Unlike many other BBQ establishments, Wood Ranch isn’t a joint, a pit or a roadhouse. It is a comfortable, casual, American restaurant with an upscale decor that serves up great food. As a brand, Wood Ranch has evolved their interior designs to meet the need of and respond to feedback from customers. Each finishing touch is an effort to make the dining experience exceptional for eaters.

You don’t have to save your visit to Wood Ranch for just May, though. “Every month at Wood Ranch is BBQ month. We will continue to serve great regional BBQ and hope our guests love it,” Rojas said.
