Monday

Set the tone for the week! One of my busier days. Mondays include working out, teaching two classes, meetings, fixing bikes, and if I can squeeze it in, I try to get some time with my baby boy, Kingston! My last class ends at 6:15 p.m., so on my way home I pick up dinner from Bandera in CDM. Seattle-Style Barbecue Salmon, kale salad and of course, some French fries!

Tuesday

Daddy Day! Up at 4:20 a.m. to teach a class at 5:45 a.m. at GritCycle Monarch Beach. Tuesdays are my days I get to hang out with Kingston while my wife teaches pilates. We do a mommy and me class (with dad) and then lunch from La Sirena Grill in Laguna. My favorite is the Chicken Machaca burrito (I get it without eggs), but you really can’t go wrong with their menu.

Wednesday

Every Wednesday we try to have a date night. Our dates 90 percent of the time are a Thai massage at Thiptara Thai Massage & Spa followed by shabu at Tabu Shabu. Grass fed beef and free range chicken in the sukiyaki broth. Oh, and the Crunchy Garlic Edamame? You have to try that!

Thursday

Thursdays I teach a 5:45 a.m. class, and on my way home I stop and pick up breakfast burritos from Rose Bakery Cafe in CDM. Country Burrito, hashbrowns instead of potato in a spinach tortilla. After breakfast, I head over to Pilates Plus Orange County to get my ass kicked by my wife on the Megaformer. If you haven’t been to Pilates Plus, and you are a fitness person, you have to try it. Hurts so good and will leave you sore for days!

Friday

Shabbat Shalom! Friday night is our family night, but a couple of times a month we try to take some friends to the coolest new restaurant, I mean dinner club, in Orange County. The Guild Club is hidden in the back of Cafe Marin (at SOCO) and is a members-only dinner club. You know when Noah and Marin von Blöm are involved you are somewhere special. The food, the drinks, live music and the attention to detail definitely makes this club my favorite place for dinner in OC. Gotta try the Club Cadillac!

Saturday

I teach two classes Saturday morning, starting in Costa Mesa at 7:00 a.m. After that, it is straight to Pie-Not! On Saturdays, Bill the Egg Slice guy is there making breakfast sandwiches. I almost don’t want to tell anyone because I don’t want to have to stand in line when I want my breakfast sandwich. They also have one of my favorite mochas in town! On my way out, if by chance there isn’t a line 20 deep, I’ll stop into Sidecar and grab a couple of donuts too!

Sunday

My day off! Sunday is the only day I don’t teach. My wife and I try to squeeze in a yoga class either at Ekam Yoga or the HB Yoga Collective. If we decide to brave the beach, we will usually head down to CDM and have lunch at the Tackle Box. It’s another hidden gem disguised as the beach concession stand that has some amazing food. My favorite is the Cali Cheesesteak with some fries. I’ll even brave the crowds some weekends just for the sandwich!
