LOCALE Magazine and Wells Fargo recently partnered to sponsor an online poll to see which South Bay boutiques were readers’ favorites. From 11 boutiques, five were chosen as the favorite go-to shops to find the latest trends for all your styling needs. These boutiques distinguish themselves for their great hospitality, their concern for the shopper’s experience and most of all, their love for fashion. If you’re looking to fill your closet with truly unique items be sure to stop by these boutiques and indulge yourself with the best clothing the South Bay has to offer!

Korner Kloset

With her need to color outside the lines and think outside the box, store owner Ashley Vance opened Korner Kloset as a way to express herself creatively with fashion without having any boundaries. Born and raised in the South Bay, Vance experienced the strict ways of the fashion corporate world and decided to embrace her passion for fashion and purchased Korner Kloset five years ago. The boutique offers edgy and comfortable brands like One Teaspoon and Honey Punch that caters to the “independent woman…who works hard during the day and goes out all night!” says Vance. Having deep beach roots, Korner Kloset embraces the need for the perfect sundress and provides fashion accessories like purses, jewelry and sunglasses. Korner Kloset is also very involved with the community and participates with school events, donations and houses fundraisers for women’s shelters. If you’re looking to find your inner stylist, this is definitely the place to do it!

Beach and Beverly

Beach and Beverly was opened by brothers Brian and Colin Cooley after deciding to share their love of beach localism and opened this cozy boutique in Hermosa Beach. With the Cooleys’ idea of avoiding the need for travel to get your favorite piece of clothing, they opted to bring the Hermosa Beach women brands they knew they’d love. Focusing on “empowering the South Bay woman” says Cooley, Beach and Beverly offers daring casual beach styles that adjust to every age and lifestyle. Having a heavy local representation, look to labels like LNA for casual edgy t-shirts, J Brand Jeans for an amazing pair of denims and Lovers and Friends for more elevated dresses. Aside from their remarkable apparel, there is a great array of bath products, jewelry and candles. Beach and Beverly is heavily involved with the community and firmly believes donating to events and schools throughout the South Bay whenever possible. Although not considered a beach store, Beach and Beverly completely encompasses the Southern California style. To all you South Bay fashionistas, one word of advice: GO!
