Life is Beautiful music festival is back for its fifth year in Las Vegas, and as preparations begin, you might be thinking about your own plan when it comes to having a place to lay your weary, music-filled head. The festival is chock full of bands and singers throughout multiple genres, along with food vendors, art and ideas series, plus, a mixology beverage program. This year, the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino is offering a special package for festival goers. It is the perfect way to experience Life is Beautiful and the buzzing and hip revivals that have come to Downtown Las Vegas. We’re talking beautiful rooms, festival tickets, a pool party and food comps. “We are kicking it all off on Thursday night, Sept. 21, with our Third Thursday on 3rd Food Truck and Live Art and Music event,” said General Manager, Kevin Glass. It’s a great deal that festival attendees do not want to miss!

“This is an amazing weekend for everyone to experience all that is great in Downtown Las Vegas, and we are excited to partner with Life is Beautiful for the weekend, says Glass. The Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino is in a league of its own when it comes to hotels in Vegas, and the package includes a four-night stay Sept. 21-25 so you can rest when you need a break from all the dancing. “The Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino is literally the Grand Entrance to the Downtown Party,” notes Glass. Guests get their choice of some absolutely gorgeous rooms, which they call the green deluxe or the red premium rooms. Each comes with amenities like high speed Wi-Fi, luxurious linens and towels. Don’t forget the hotel amenities, like the Citrus Grand Pool Deck on the roof, multiple restaurants and the casino!

Life is Beautiful is hands-down the greatest music festival in Las Vegas and possibly in the country, sorry Coachella. The first night’s Art and Music kick off event “will be the last chance for people to win coveted tickets to the festival,” said Glass, but with the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino package, guests who book get two, three-day passes to the festival. The lineup is pretty stacked, featuring big names like Blink 182, Lorde and Andrew McMahon and Wilderness. There will be various food vendors, including Nacho Daddy, 50 Shades of Green, and Coolhaus. Attendees can expect to see five stages (with different bands playing at each), a ferris wheel, street art and art installations, and a ton of equal minded festival fans!

Each package comes with a $25 credit per night to Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino’s onsite restaurant, Freedom Beat. Freedom Beat serves top-notch American-style food, created by Chef Scott Commings, who happens to be the season twelve winner of “Hell’s Kitchen.” The spot boasts live musical performances, too! They’re open 24 hours and serve brunch, lunch, dinner, dessert and drinks. The “Freedom 2 Brunch” is a must-try, and for $20, it’s all you can eat plus bottomless mimosas or bloody marys for an extra $10. Also on the menu: Thigh High Fried Chicken, Pot Roast Sandwich, Joseph James Citra Rye draft and Kentucky Mint Julep cocktail. Glass added, “we will have one dollar PBR (Pabst Blue Ribbon) 24 hours a day for the length of the festival, so even if you aren’t staying with us, you can party with us!” Cheers!
- Rooftop Pool Party
Also included in the Downtown Grand package are two complimentary tickets to the Official Life is Beautiful Daytime Pool Party with Capital Cities. The party will take place at the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino’s Citrus Grand Pool Deck on Saturday, Sept. 23. Capital Cities will be performing an exclusive concert and preview for their Life is Beautiful performance, including hits like “Safe and Sound” and “Swimming Pool Summer,” along with other songs from the new Swimming Pool Summer EP. Food and drink specials will be offered, as well as special cabana packages so you can lounge as you take in the sun and sounds of a poppin’ Las Vegas soirée. The Citrus Grand Pool Deck has a sparkling infinity pool, fire pit, backyard games like corn hole and table tennis, the Citrus restaurant and a bar with sip-worthy cocktails like the Tickled Pink, Prickly Collins or the Green Iguana.

With the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino being right across the street from the Life is Beautiful Festival, there’s no need to catch an Uber or Lyft. Parking downtown can be pricey, but that is completely unnecessary when staying within walking distance of the festival entrance. The short jaunt will be appreciated when attendees of the festival have tired feet and empty bellies!
