Monday

To start off the week on Monday, I opt for a very early yoga stretch class before work at Urban Yoga on South Palm Canyon Drive where Kristin Olson is celebrating 15 years of relaxing & stretching those of us who have full-time careers in the desert and need that to get through those 40 hours.

Tuesday

Happy Hour at Eight4Nine on Palm Canyon — it has beautiful surroundings, food and conversations. People watching amongst an all-white interior with pops of color is so fun. It’s a contemporary eatery in a chic atmosphere.

Wednesday

Spencer’s “at the mountain” is a lovely tree-covered outdoor restaurant in the Historic Old Tennis Club area of Palm Springs where you can enjoy a breakfast with clients while also enjoying the ambiance of such a beautiful place. Could hardly be called a “working meeting” at such a lovely place.

Thursday

Taking a float at Two Bunch Palms in their 600-year-old “mineral waters” on Thursday nights just at sunset, and have a glass of wine while there. It’s been a “secret” favorite place of mine for years….one that I don’t like to tell everyone about. It’s my “happy place.” It also is an international award-winning spa and resort — a quiet refuge after a week of working in Advertising and Promotions.

Friday

Known by a lucky few, a “by appointment only” hair styling at the Read Brown Salon in the Uptown Design District by the one and only “for blondes only” Nicholas Elliott.

Saturday

Early Saturday morning hikes in the Indian Canyons to see the incredible waterfalls and hundreds of palm trees. Nature, solitude and quiet amongst these magnificent palm trees, a mere 10 minutes from downtown Palm Springs.

Sunday

I like to spend lazy, Sunday afternoons at the Palm Springs Art Museum. They have spectacular art glass by world famous American glass sculptor, Dale Chihuly — something you must see in person.
