6 Places in LA to Ice Skate Your Way Through the Holidays

Though LA weather Is Rarely Frightful, You Can Still Find a Winter Wonderland Without Leaving the City

Written By: Benjamin Wright Los Angeles Ice Skating

We all know LA doesn’t have a suitable climate for winter sports. While many trek to Big Bear or Tahoe to play in the snow, you don’t need to travel far to experience wintertime fun. We in LA have the best of both worlds; we create our own winter playgrounds and we have the luxury of driving home without a speck of snow on the windshield—heck, the windows will be rolled down. While Big Bear might still be the nearest destination for skiing and snowboarding, ice skating in Los Angeles is never more than a few minutes away. These LA venues are full of holiday decorations, carol singers, seasonal snacks and other special events that are sure to fill even the biggest Scrooges with holiday cheer.
