I blog full-time at The Balanced Blonde, so getting outside is a big, important part of my day. I also teach yoga and am pretty obsessed with interviewing guests for my wellness podcast, “Soul on Fire.”

The place I have always felt the most at home at in Los Angeles is Malibu, probably because of the laid back beachy vibes—and the fact that I can wear yoga clothes, rock my mermaid top knots and fit right in. Plus, the wellness scene out here is so on point!

Malibu Wine Safaris Malibu’s Hot Spots

This is such a quintessential Los Angeles attraction, and it’s something I think everyone who lives here should do at least once. The animals are adorable, you get to explore the Saddlerock Ranch and vineyard, and of course—wine tastings. If you go, say, ‘Hi’ to Stanley the giraffe for me, and take an Instagram photo with him. He’s very photogenic!

Malibu Beach Yoga

I am so glad that I stumbled into this adorable, laid back, beachy studio! The artwork on the walls is gorgeous, and their team of teachers and studio managers are incredibly sweet, which is important to me because I am all about the vibes and ambiance when it comes to yoga studios.

The Malibu Cafe Malibu’s Hot Spots

The Malibu Cafe has tons of signature items there like their Calamigos Barbeque Sauce, and I love that they are rooted in the cowboy lifestyle. If you’ve ever listened to my podcast, you know that I come from a long line of cowboys in the Younger family, so I feel right at home there.

Malibu Riders Malibu’s Hot Spots

Who doesn’t want to get their horseback-trail-riding on? Especially in a location as pretty as Malibu. I am always one for getting outside and soaking in the good, grounded vibes that the earth and our beautiful animals that surround us have to offer. Malibu Riders will take you through some of the most beautiful trails in the national and state parks of Los Angeles for a truly unique and natural experience.

Getty Villa

I started going to the Getty Villa when I was a student at Loyola Marymount University because all of the art classes I took actually gave us credit for attending this gorgeous museum. You’ll find all sorts of hidden gems, soak in the ancient Grecian and Roman culture and see some of the best views in all of Los Angeles.

Ollo Malibu

Ollo is absolutely adorable. It’s nestled in one of the most iconic shopping centers in Malibu, and their food is not to be missed out on. They have the prettiest juices and their pizzas are like a work of art. The Balanced Blonde approved menu items? On the list are the Chilaquiles (heaven!), Curried Lentils, Burrata & Apricots and Fuji Apple & Quinoa Salad. Yum!

Street Food Cinema

Outdoor movies, beautiful scenery, people you love? Sign me up! I am such a sucker for the movies they play here, and I know they have a ton of great ones coming up. It’s one of my favorite things to do with my friends.

Caffe Luxxe

Caffe Luxxe is my favorite coffee shop in all of Los Angeles. I am spoiled because I also have a couple of them near me in Brentwood, but their Malibu location is hands down my favorite. I mean, it’s right across from the beach! You can’t get much better than that. If you’re looking for something deliciously indulgent, their almond milk mocha is a must-have!

Stand Out: “My favorite color has been lime green since first grade! I picked it because we went around the room and every other girl chose pink, so I wanted to be different. I have always been just a little kooky that way,” said Younger.

Healer: Younger not only blogs, but she teaches yoga and is soon to be certified in Reiki healing. She is “obsessed” with spiritual healing modalities from acupuncture to kundalini yoga to Ayurveda.

#TBT: “My blog used to be called The Blonde Vegan, but when I stopped being vegan I basically changed everything and am now The Balanced Blonde. All about that balanced life,” said Younger.

A Few of Her Favorite Things: Younger loves kombucha, green smoothies, dark chocolate and beach walks.

Run Jordan, Run: Although she’s a yogi at heart, Younger loves to run. In fact, she ran the LA Marathon, and it was one of her proudest moments.

Topping the Charts: The Balanced Blonde Podcast // Soul on Fire has topped the wellness charts on iTunes! Some of her guests include Gabby Bernstein, Kathryn Budig, Morgan Haley and so many more. Her dream guests are Gwyneth Paltrow and Oprah!
