Ruby’s Diner
Must Order: Hickory Burger

This behemoth is a stacked burger with thick cut bacon, onion rings and doused in a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce. When the burger is placed in front of your now widened eyes, each layer gives you a wink. Biting into it, you get the hearty, smoky bacon, then comes the crispy onion rings and the bite of the barbecue sauce.

Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern
Must Order: Jimmy Burger

This OC favorite is bound to get your taste bud’s attention. J-FAT’s namesake burger incorporates what Managing Partner David Wilhelm calls the “three S’s,” aka sweet, spicy and smoky. The Jimmy is made with a proprietary Parker House bun, 100 percent chopped, not ground New York sirloin, jalapeño jam, housemade pimento cheese and Applewood smoked bacon. The mix of flavors and textures makes for quite the burger experience.

Smoqued BBQ
Must Order: Hangover Burger

Face it; there are times when you need your burger to pack an extra punch, especially after a night on the town. The Hangover Burger is here to get you back on track. The burger is piled with a spicy aioli, Swiss cheese, roasted red pepper, arugula, their signature candied bacon, and a fried egg; mind you, this is all between two thick hunks of Texas toast. As Smoqued BBQ’s Chef Marc Mendoza puts it, “It’s an unbeatable combination of sweet and savory with rich mouth feel, a perfect complement to our selection of California craft beer on tap.”

Grasslands Meat Market
Must Order: Gluten-Free Bacon Steak Burger

This burger is here to stamp out any doubts you may have had about “gluten-free” and “delicious” being in the same sentence. First off, the burger is comprised of top sirloin, tri tip, skirt steak, and smoked brisket. Who could pass that up? It’s topped with melted Wisconsin cheddar, in-house Cherrywood smoked bacon, fried barbecue shallots, mustard barbecue sauce, lettuce and tomato. These are sandwiched between buttery, tapioca based buns that have some parmesan cheese mixed in for good measure.
