The Irvine Company owns and operates some of Orange County’s most special destinations, including The Irvine Spectrum, Fashion Island and the world renowned Pelican Hill Resort. The latest addition to this prestigious portfolio is an apartment community called Centerpointe. The company has a long track record of providing a high quality lifestyle to its apartment residents, offering a full spectrum of amenities close to the best schools, restaurants, shopping and transportation hubs that Orange County has to offer. Centerpointe takes the Irvine Company approach to luxury apartment living to its latest and highest level, offering amenities never before seen in one of their communities.

The property is centrally located within walking distance to the Irvine Spectrum, where residents can go to shop, dine, or enjoy a night out with friends and family. The property boasts 766 units, was built in 2015, and offers studio, one and two bedroom floor plans. Q: Tell me about the ambiance of Centerpointe, what are the design influences?

JD Shafer: The property represents the best of modern urban living, we are within walking distance to Spectrum and feature high-end fixtures and appliances, soaring 10-foot ceilings and every home has a lot of natural light. A sense of spaciousness is important at Centerpointe.

Q: What amenities are available at the community?

JS: The entire property is smoke and vapor free, which includes all guests—nobody can smoke at any time, which is unique. Something we are excited about is that we have Gigablast service by Cox, which is 100 times faster than DSL. You can download 100 songs in 3 seconds. This type of bandwidth is very rare and this community is brand new and offers residents the latest and greatest in connectivity. Centerpointe has a dedicated Pilates studio—the first of its kind in all of our communities, as well as state of the art fitness spaces, a yoga room, saltwater pools and spas, outside entertainment areas, outdoor fireplaces, clubrooms, and game rooms. We offer social activities and programs for our residents and take pride in the community we have been able to build here. Everything in Centerpointe runs along a pedestrian walk-street called The Promenade, giving a strong sense of community to the property.

Q: Tell me more about the events that residents can enjoy here

JS: There are cooking classes in our demo kitchen, and we have wine tastings, as well as themed events around seasonal holidays. We have health and wellness open houses, and fitness based classes you can sign up for via an app from your phone. People have really enjoyed the variety of fitness classes they have to choose from, and how convenient is registering for a class from your phone? Cuts down on the excuses!

Q: What types of floor plans are available?

JS: We have studio, one and two bedroom floor plans. Some of the one and two bedroom units have lofts, which increase the height of the already 10-foot high ceilings. Some units also boast spectacular views over the pools. The homes all feel spacious, light and airy, again, with large windows and high ceilings that we are really excited about!

A: Who is the ideal fit for Centerpointe?

JS: Many of our residents are active professionals, taking advantage of the convenient location of the property. It’s such a luxury being within walking distance to the shopping and dining of the Irvine Spectrum, you don’t even need to get into the car! The property is safe, secure and quiet, and we have a large range of ages in the community. Centerpointe appeals to many different types of people, who all value community and the great amenities and location we offer.

Q: How is Centerpointe different than other Irvine Company communities and how has the design of these communities changed over the years?

JS: Every community is unique; and Centerpointe is the newest. One of my favorite features that we are most excited about at Centerpointe is The Promenade. The central artery of the property, called The Promenade, is up one level from the street, which increases the security and sense of privacy of the amenities. The Promenade is one of the most special features of this property. It’s like a pedestrian walk-street, and acts as a social hub for our residents. The community has a great sense of intimacy to it, and the amenities are all along this central pedestrian channel.

Q: Location location location! What are fun things to do around Centerpointe?

JS: Irvine Spectrum is within walking distance and we offer a transportation service called the Irvine iShuttle Service to pick up our residents and take them there and back home. We also offer Zagster bikes to be used and enjoyed by residents, which can be checked out on your phone via an app. Everything is at your fingertips being so close to Spectrum. I love being able to head over to Javier’s or Cheesecake factory for dinner. Not to mention the entertainment, like Dave and Buster’s and the movie theater—footsteps from your door. We are also close to the 405 and 133 freeways and you can access all of Orange County in minutes! It’s a great location, and, again, every community has a unique feel, but Centerpointe takes everything that Irvine Company has learned over the years and executes a truly one of a kind design!

Q: What makes living in an Irvine Company apartment community unique?

JS: We are set apart by our brand promise of “Love Where You Live” to our residents, and we pride ourselves on the attention to detail and high quality apartments we provide. We have an extensive selection of community amenities and programs and we put resources into the community to ensure their quality, whether it’s shown in our staffing, maintenance or initial quality of the homes. You can even get caught up on your laptop at the pool, hopefully just browsing the web but you can work if you need to! Afterwards, relax in one of the spas. Later on, stroll The Promenade and then get ready for an evening out at one of the restaurants or to meet up with friends and see a movie at Irvine Spectrum. Don’t forget, we have our iShuttle to take you to and from the property if you don’t want to walk, so you can save the gas and hassle of parking at the Orange County hotspot.
