[AV] Irvine is Ready to Celebrate Your Next Event

I didn’t know such a place existed in Irvine, but Kris Plourde, owner of [AV] Irvine, believed in creating a one-stop shop for OC’s celebratory needs. Built from the ground up, he may have envisioned “If you build it they will come”—and come they have.
Whether it’s for your fairytale wedding, prom, a gala or a corporate event, the possibilities are endless. [AV], which stands for audio and visual, is a modern, custom-designed building with 25,000 square feet of customizable event space; a clean canvas for you to make it your own. With state-of-the-art technology, multiple high-definition screens, onsite catering (24 Carrots being their official caterers), as well as an outdoor space that can be used for ceremonies, your only limit is your imagination. “With our weddings, we’re capable of 400 plus, so we’re definitely great for couples that want something different,” said Christopher Monteros, Director of Operations and Events that’s worked alongside Plourde from the very beginning of the project.
And what better place for the Wedding International Professionals Association (WIPA) SoCal chapter to host their design challenge? The four elements, earth, air, water and fire, were the premise for this challenge. The space was set-up in four distinct styles in the main 10,000-square-foot showroom. Each design team managed to capture an exceptional aesthetic and showcased the members’ design capabilities. Although all of them were unique in their own way, the winner of the design challenge was the earth team led by planner Karen Sieger with Blissfully Styled, floral design by Shawna Yamamoto and stationery by Heidi Davidson from Davidson Designs. Earth’s team created a space that had rustic charm, but was still exceptionally chic with an overhanging cascade of twigs and ferns with subtle, single-stem calla lilies arranged in a row, adding an unexpected touch.
Having the right space paired with cutting-edge technology is the perfect combination and backdrop for any creative vision to come to life. Jen Dawson of LVL Events and WIPA’s SoCal chapter president was not only impressed with the technical aspects at [AV], but added, “the space is also very thoughtfully designed with every event need in mind, making it easy to design and execute flawless events here.”`
When I asked Plourde, what’s the best part of his job? He replied, “seeing people having a good time.” And they certainly were.
