Disneyland and Disney California Adventure aim to bring new and exciting experiences for its guests with its ever-changing foodie items. Newbies visiting the happiest place on earth for the first time get double the magic while annual pass holders will always have something new and exciting to try. If you’re planning a trip to the parks this month, Pixar Fest is in full swing which means one thing—it’s time put on your cowboy hat and enjoy these delicious treats.
Best Food at Disneyland
Pork Chop Dinner
The Carnation Cafe is offering a pork chop dinner inspired by the TV dinner Carl eats in the movie Up. With a spiced apple pork chop, cornbread, peas and carrots and chocolate cake, you might be inspired to say, “Adventure is out there!”
Luxo Ball Cake Pops
One of Pixar’s most iconic short films features a lamp named Luxo Jr. who has a blast playing with a yellow ball with a blue stripe and red star. Since its appearance in Luxo Jr., the ball has had cameos in numerous Pixar films and now, it’s a sweet treat during Pixar Fest.
Monsters Inc. Marshmallow Donuts
These donuts located at Schmoozies don’t only look delicious, but they also feature Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc. Covered with green frosting and marshmallows, put on your best monster face and dig in!
Cheeseburger Pizza
One of the most exciting foodie aspects about Pixar Fest is that they’ve turned the Pizza Port into Alien Pizza Planet from Toy Story. Instead of choosing a slice of regular ‘za, opt for the pizza topped with caramelized onions, pickles, cheese, slider patties, diced tomatoes and house-made burger sauce!
Ensalada de Frutas
Inspired by the movie Coco, the Paradise Garden Grill in Disney California Adventure is offering a delicious menu with a colorful bowl of Ensalada de Frutas with jicama, watermelon, cucumber, pineapple and mango with chili-lime salt and chamoy.
Ratatouille Three Course Meal
Pixar Fest has dedicated an entire three-course meal to Remy the rat and his amazing journey at Café Orleans. The meal begins with a charcuterie starter plate, then moves on to a Ratatouille a Confit Byaldi Shrimp dish and finishes with berry and cheese beignets served a la mode.
Strawberry Churro
With all the fun there is to have at Disneyland, it’s hard to find time to sit and enjoy a meal. But with churro stands, you can grab and go! Inspired by Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear, the strawberry scented bear in Toy Story 3, this strawberry sugar-covered churro found at the Tomorrowland churro cart won’t betray you like Lots-o’ did.
Nemo and Dory Caramel Apples
Inspired by Finding Nemo, these apples are dipped in white chocolate, blue or orange sugar, depending on whether you want Nemo or his forgetful friend, Dory, and decorated with marshmallows, white and dark chocolate and candy-coated chocolates. Just make sure you don’t lose Nemo!
Habanero Meatball Cone
At the Cozy Cone Motel in Cars Land, you can take a break from exploring the park and enjoy the spicy, meaty Habanero Meatball Cone. It might be just the thing to give you a jumpstart so you can go back to having fun.
Chilled Noodle Salad
Order the Chilled Noodle Salad inspired by Monsters Inc at the Lucky Fortune Cookery in California Adventure! This dish comes with Thai basil, shredded daikon, crushed and toasted peanuts, tofu and noodles are color changing! With a spritz of lime, your noodles will go from Sulley blue to Randall purple.
Millennial Pink Celebration Toast
Cheers to great weather and happy times at Disneyland! This adorable Champagne comes topped with chocolate Mickey Mouse ears. Head to Amorette’s Patisserie to get a taste!
Native Knowledge: Keep a look out for Salt & Straw coming to Downtown Disney later this year!
