The sun is blasting us with its sweltering heat…such a ruff life that we have living in coastal Southern California. I almost feel like it should be a law that all restaurants should have patios in California, then we wouldn’t have to worry about where to take our dogs. Since that isn’t the case, we searched out some of our favorite places to enjoy outside dining with our pets. Grab the dogs and head to any of these cool pet friendly hangouts for a frosty beer and some amazing bites. Yes we all love going to the beach with our furry friends and throwing the frisbee around in the park, but sometimes we like to stray from the routine, especially when it involves us ending up at any of these sweet pet friendly spots.  pet friendly

Rose Flower Frenchie Andventure

Lately I’ve had puppy fever, which spawned this whole quest for the best pet friendly spots in LA.  I’ve dreamt of puppies and admired them like parents ogle at newborn babies. I researched different types of dogs and landed on the ever popular and undeniably adorable french bull dogs. I live in an apartment and these are great for smaller homes because they don’t need a lot of room to run around. They get along great with kids and make perfect family dogs.  I watched YouTube videos of them running around, playing at the beach and freaking out from their farts (super funny). Furthermore, their giant heads are freakin’ adorable. I started doing research on these little guys and realized that breeders are the way to go, these pups require a lot of special care and attention to come to fruition. I then decided I needed to meet with a breeder. I hand’t actually hung out with a Frenchie and figured that would probably be a good place to start. I met with Rose Flower Frenchies and found out why these dogs are so coveted, they really are best friend material. I want a dog that I can take everywhere with me, unfortunately that doesn’t just mean the parks and the beaches. I want a dog that can enjoy going out for happy hour too! These little guys were the perfect road dog. They were social, relaxed when necessary and excited and full of energy when we went to the park. I got to learn more about them as we hung out at some of these cool pet friendly restaurants around LA. Rose Flower Frenchies does it right! So basically, be warned, you might end up adding another furry friend to the family after checking out these adorable photos of these pups. Go through Roe Flower Frenchies if you want a dog with lots of character and personality that’s down to travel anywhere with you.  pet friendly

This long beach hangout isn’t just for dogs, although they do get pretty comfortable here.  This cute cafe off 4th street combines Greek food and American to provide unique flavors to Long Beach. The lamb burger topped with Graviera cheese is a perfect example. I love the chicken kabobs with house made tzatziki sauce. If I leave the place smelling like garlic, then they’ve done their job right. The Zeus fries are also a local favorite, topped with a secret spicy sauce and a feta cheese. This place also has a parking lot! I would say this is a key detail for any business in Long Beach.

Congregation Ale House is perfect for anyone who loves beer as much as they love their doggies. Ever heard of Trappist beers? If not, ask one of the sisters or brothers that work there to give you a lesson on Monk beer. I’m always down for ordering anything that comes with a good story. My favorite location is located in downtown Long Beach. They have the perfect patio for you and your pooch. They food offers as much quality as these fine beers that they offer. Everything is made fresh and prepared in house. Definitely a local favorite! The burgers are amazing. I love all the different condiments this place offers to accompany their delicious bar bites.

When I think of Open Sesame I immediately think of their famous garlic potatoes that are a must the minute you sit down and someone greets you. Experience authentic Lebanese cuisine in Long Beach or Los Angeles with Open Sesame. I was so excited to discover that this place was pet friendly. I’ve been frequenting the Long Beach location for years and was excited to hear that this place could be experienced with the whole family, literally-doggies too! The kabobs are also a local favorite, which I could see why-they were cooked perfectly. From one family to another, they offer attention to detail and exquisite Mediterranean cuisine and makes you feel like your in a place you could consider home away from home. I could go on and on about each dish that we tried, but really, you could order everything on the menu and be satisfied. I promise!   pet friendly

The Attic On Broadway

I love the Attic on Broadway. This place is great for pets, they even have a doggie menu offering different fun treats for the pups. The patio is my favorite! It’s huge with a variety of seating options. It really feels like you came over to your friends house to hang out and they happen to have a private chef and wait staff. Maybe that’s because it used to be a house! The food is creative and fun and leave you feeling full and satisfied. I love the Fried Green Tomatoes Eggs Benedict. It’s topped with a rich cajun hollandaise and served with crispy herbed potatoes, fruit and a side of Alligator Andouille sausage. Yum! Mac N Cheese topped with Cheetos are a real hit, or the build your own bloody mary that literally requires a separate menu-there are so many options! This place is fun for everyone, and it doesn’t hurt that it’s pet friendly also!   pet friendly
