Change up Your Diet, Exercise More Often and Stay Determined With This Nutrition Plan

It was difficult to enter into Live Well Clinic’s 21 Day Nutrition Reboot without great trepidation. A 21-day cleanse? What could I eat? What would I have to give up? Would I have to drink some icky shake or juice? Those questions were answered the minute I opened the 21 Day Nutrition Reboot guidebook. The program is an extensive guide that focuses on the self-care and renewal of your body, starting with what you put into it. Filled with delicious recipes and restaurant suggestions, the guidebook is a supportive introduction to the foods to be enjoyed and, yes, even the things that are off the table, so to speak, for 21 days, while you restore yourself for 2019.

 

Week One

Getting Started

The Reboot walks you through every step of the process, with tons of knowledge to keep you feeling your best as you start out. I began learning my new way of eating starting with my yummy, morning shake. I made some adjustments as the week went on based on the suggested food list and my own personal preferences.

 

Changing It Up

Lunch changed from a sandwich to a salad with homemade dressing, which was surprisingly easy to make from recipes in the guide. Pro tip—chop your veggies at the beginning of the week so you can easily assemble your lunch.

 

Week Two

Eat Like You Mean It

I am eating like a gourmet and feeling great. The recipes from the guide are all easy and delicious—roasted butternut squash soup, Mexican-style shrimp cocktail and grilled halibut with sweet potato “fries” are just a few of my favorite dishes.

 

Dining Out

Good news! I can still go to restaurants! Tommy Bahama—among other local restaurants—has several items on their menu that are compliant with the 21 Day Reboot. The best part is there’s no guessing on what to eat, it’s all listed in the guide.

Week Three

Keep It Up!

This will not be the end of my new eating plan; I feel great! Goodbye sugar cravings! The protein powder and green superfood are two ingredients I will keep in my pantry for a quick meal replacement, snack or energy drink before the gym.

 

Healthy Year Round

The guidebook provides insight into how what we eat directly impacts how we feel, internally and externally. I am glad to have this tool in my good health toolbox for those times I overindulge. This program has so much to offer for continued good health.

Say Goodbye: No sugar, no dairy, no grains, no beans, no alcohol, no cheating! A short break from these inflammatory foods reduces chronic stress and detoxes your organs.

Morning Fuel: Please do not skip breakfast. You’re eating right for both body and mind, so make sure you’re not skimping on meals!

Drink Up: Remember to hydrate well throughout the day. Drink at least 90-100 ounces of filtered water daily.

Work It Out: Do a mild exercise such as walking, swimming or yoga. You don’t need to head to the gym every day, but starting to incorporate some light workouts will improve your overall well-being.
