ICYMI: Beer, Tacos and a Cinco de Mayo Opening—Hermosa Beach Welcomes The Brews Hall

The Brews Hall Opens Their Second Location in Hermosa Beach

Even though the last twelve months have given us plenty to complain about collectively, you will never hear us complain about venturing back into public to explore exciting new places, especially when tacos and cold beers are involved. Doing all of the above pierside and on Cinco de Mayo? Now you have our attention. Brews Hall Hermosa Beach

The Brews Hall at Hermosa Beach will be the second location for famed restaurateur Michael Zislis. The original opened back in November 2019 in Torrance and gained popularity as a world-class brewery that makes two distinctly different brands of beer––Buzzrock Brewing Co. and George Lopez Brewing Co. The former exudes a rock’n roll attitude and is known for its special release from Dodger Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw, a grapefruit wheat ale called Kershaw’s Wicked Curve. Not to be out-brewed by the Dodgers closer, George Lopez Brewing Co. brews up Ta Loco Cerveza and is known for its “crazy” and unusual flavors.

The brewery has churned out several standouts at international craft beer competitions, like the 2020 Brewski Awards, where they won gold, silver and bronze medals for various beers. The most impressive award went to the Rat Beach Red Ale from Buzzrock, which won the Platinum Medal with the most extraordinary and highest recommended beer of 2020.

The Brews Hall at Hermosa Beach will officially open on Cinco de Mayo this year, and like the Torrance location, will be home to four distinctly different food concepts. These include George Lopez’s Chingon Kitchen featuring authentic Mexican food, Colin Cowherd’s Herd Burger featuring Niman Ranch meat, all the proper sides, milkshakes and fried chicken at Chicken TWILI and a Manhattan Beach fish house favorite, Rock’N Fish Grill. We are most excited about the debut of Seltzer TWILI (The Way I Like It), which can be made custom to your flavor palate with eight different fresh juice choices.

The Hermosa location will also feature a full bar with signature frozen margaritas, boozy milkshakes and unique custom make-your-own-seltzer flavors (brewed at the Torrance location). The property features multiple large screen TVs and projectors with an expansive outdoor deck equipped with heaters and fire pits.

Come check out this new Hermosa Beach hotspot from 11:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 a.m. – 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
