It’s a well-known fact that we’re made up of 90 percent water. With so much of our body made up of this sacred nectar, it’s important to replenish it—especially with water that has been filtered correctly, and let’s be honest, tastes great.

Citizen Water Co. in Costa Mesa is not your average water store. With a trendy atmosphere and a diffuser that fills the room with the smell of natural oils, Citizen Water Co. is about to be your new go-to. Not only do they offer water that has been filtered several times, but they also sell kombucha, cold brew coffee, teas and drinks like Dirty Horchata that change monthly, all made with their clean, healthy water.

“Citizen Water Co. [has] the opportunity to create a true, transparent, honest and extremely important product (the water) that we can also build on to satisfy everyone’s preference,” said  General Manager, Seamus Perry.

But wait, there’s more! If you’re anything like the rest of us water fans, you probably have cereal for breakfast and are starving by the time 11 a.m. rolls around. Citizen Water Co. has created a variety of meal replacements that honestly taste like heaven. With options like the CoCo Cups that taste exactly like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, only healthy and guilt free, and the Antidote Truffles that melt in your mouth, you’ll be stocking up on these for months and will find yourself full until 1 p.m.

“We can offer every beverage and superfood meal replacement product that would otherwise be tainted with chemicals, acids, pharmaceuticals, disinfection byproducts, heavy metals (the water) or preservatives, additives and inorganic material that’s found in the food,” said Perry.

They’ll eventually be selling sandwiches as well, and with how great their meal replacement bars are, you know these sandwiches are going to rival your favorite sandwich shop. Not only do they sell gallons of water, but they also sell coconut water, bee pollen, honey and Sun Potion Tonics. Their external products range from the Citizen Shower Filter to help rid you shower water of chlorine, chloramine, heavy metals, fluoride and so much more, to a local soap company Iron Lion Soap, to all natural diaper relief from a farm in Kentucky.

Citizen Water Co. also lets you bring their purified water to your home with their in-home water filtration system. “The water filtration system Evan built will remove acids, pathogens, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, disinfection byproducts, heavy metals, inorganic material, nitrates, fluoride and is remineralized how nature intended with magnesium and silica, both in the most bio-available form,” said Perry.

If you feel overwhelmed by the various items found in food and water, Citizen Water Co. is here to help explain it in a simplified way. “We pride ourselves on being able to tailor our approach with every customer, so they receive the most information possible and hopefully healthier days in the future. You can truly 360 your health and well being with the products we have at our store, but if you want to jump all in or just test the water, even picking up a little from Citizen Water Co. would affect your life in huge ways,” said Perry.
