Welcome to Creative Carafes, a mobile paint and sip company that opened July of 2015. Hosted in upscale restaurants and venues, the public participates in art projects chosen from a portfolio that’s been designed by artists nationwide. The fee does not include food and beverages, but bites and libations can be purchased from participating venues.
The mobile studios’ concept is different from paint parties offered in an independent space. Everyone is invited to pick up their brushes and join Creative Carafes at a location that fits their personality or what part of the county they’d like to venture to. The projects often match the atmosphere of the participating venue. An especially upscale venue might be paired with a painting that’s a tad more artistic, while a venue near the beach might produce a laid back sunset-themed piece.
Each class is roughly two hours and participants receive step-by-step instructions and get to leave with a unique piece of art that will prompt houseguests to ask where they can get one just like it.
It’s okay if your artistic skills are not up to par with the likes of Picasso, van Gogh or Monet to successfully create. Let’s be honest—most people’s creativity comes from Pinterest and a truly artistic hand comes innate to few. Owners Rachel Beck and Lori Waring hire only the very best and seasoned artists to guide you, artists who also possess encouraging personas. Three master artists and two assistant artists are currently on staff. These artists are trained in technique and teaching style before they’re released to inspire your canvas, ensuring that your creativity will be tapped into!
These seasoned instructors support the end product, but also know when to support the participant’s muse. Beck told us of a recent participant who enrolled for a class that would be recreating a city skyline, but instead created an elegant painting based off a photo of a lion that she had brought. Or, say the theme of the project is red and orange, but your home falls into a purple and blue color scheme. The teachers will help pick colors that will add flare while complying with your existing scheme. The bottom line is that you can let your creativity run free at Creative Carafes!
Creative Carafes paint and sip parties welcome both males and females. Beck and Waring have hosted a corporate and team building events, private birthday parties, bridal showers, bachelorette parties, fundraisers, girls night outs, date nights and even kids events. It’s a great outlet for everyone who want a reason to get together with their friends, drink wine, specialty cocktails or craft beers, do something different and relax after a day or week of being on the go.
If you’re looking for a creative group activity that includes the consumption of sophisticated beverages, this is it. “I really love the industry and we thought it would be fun and different to provide a more upscale version, or add a twist with some of the unique events we do, ” said Beck.
Stay posted for different themed classes and special events that pair wine and champagne tastings with stellar art pieces and activities. Be sure to also get involved in their social media and ‘like’ their Facebook page for special giveaways such as Ticket Tuesday, where Facebook fans have the chance to win two tickets to an upcoming event.
