Pumpkins, football, cooler weather and warm sweaters are just a few of the many things that come to mind when thinking about this time of year. While another summer has come and gone, it’s time to welcome fall with open arms—a fresh start. Here’s what we’re looking forward to most this season. 1 | Football Season Fall Activities SoCal Photography Provided By: Igloo Finally, football is back! Although this year looks a bit different with empty stadiums, there’s nothing like enjoying the game in the comfort of your home. Host a tailgate at home, compete in fantasy football with a group of friends or coworkers and cheer on your favorite team in full spirit this season. 2 | All Things Pumpkin Spice Photography By: Roberto Cerini Pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin bread, pumpkin soup, pumpkin ravioli…shall we go on? It’s pumpkin season, and we’re digging in early. Aside from pumpkin, fall cocktails and seasonal menu items (think apples, cinnamon, sweet potatoes and more!) are always something to look forward to during this time of year. We’re loving the selection at Craft House in Dana Point. Order the Crimson & Clover cocktail (clover, hibiscus infused gin with pineapple and housemade bitters) paired with the sweet potato risotto with mushroom, sage, parmesan and herbs. 3 | Fall Recipes Fall Activities SoCal Tomato basil soup, butternut squash pasta carbonara with rosemary bacon and cinnamon spiced apple fritters with vanilla coffee glaze—is your mouth watering yet? Light your favorite fall candle, turn on some tunes and cook one of these comforting recipes for a cozy night in. 4 | Cabin Trips Fall Activities SoCal Photo by Jeremy Bishop on Unsplash Cooler weather means weekend trips to the mountains! While Southern California doesn’t have too much of a traditional fall season, escape to the mountains for changing leaves and a cooler breeze. Roasting marshmallows by the fire and drinking hot coffee on a cool morning is a nice escape from your usual routine. Now is the perfect time to plan a weekend away. Book a place on Airbnb, whether it’s Big Bear, Mammoth or somewhere far away! 5 | Sweater Weather Photography Provided By: Pacific City Photography Provided By: Pacific City Ah yes, we’re trading in swimsuits for sweaters here in California. Revamp your fall wardrobe with a trip to Pacific City. Make a stop at Free People, Stitch & Feather and West of Camden for a few new fall staples—think beanies, scarves and boots for once the weather starts to drop below 70 degrees! Grab the perfect outfit for pumpkin picking with your family. Happy fall!
