Your Favorite Brunch Spot is Opening a New Location in Palm Springs

Written By: Nia Yates Wilma & Frieda Cafe Palm Springs

Wilma & Frieda is a unique brunch café that the desert locals and people from afar have been hearing about since their opening. It’s a family affair, and is no surprise that the warm and welcoming staff is excited for their expansion to Palm Springs in late November. This go around, they are not skimping on space, they know what Palm Springs locals want and they are bringing it.

Offering their same traditional brunch menu with a few additions, they will be adding a bar (which will stay open after 2 p.m.), three dining rooms and balcony seating. Bar bites and patio views will be a crowd pleaser. “Dinner to follow in January 2018, this summer we’ve been experimenting,” owner Kelly McFall shares. Wilma & Frieda Cafe Palm Springs

Wilma & Frieda’s enjoys experimenting, it brings new life and flavors to their concept. Keeping it fresh, adding items and offering a variety of daily specials. Due to its popularity, a few specialty items such as the Chicken Fried Filet Mignon will make it to the featured menu. Chicken fried steak is one thing, but they wanted to add an upgraded twist on a traditional southern favorite. Another item that they are considering for the new menu is the Shrimp and Grits, complete with asparagus and replacing the traditional small shrimp with huge prawns, you won’t ever leave hungry. You need not worry, the classics are here to stay, such as Meatloaf and Eggs, a thick cut of home style meatloaf topped with two eggs any style. Wilma & Frieda Cafe Palm Springs

Beforehand, if you missed their debut, you can watch Wilma & Frieda on the cult classic “Diners Drive-ins and Dives” re-airing in September. Guy enjoyed on his visit the Short Rib Melt and Meyer Lemon Blueberry breakfast tart. When asked what would she would suggest to the first time visitor order, she did not pause when recommending her top pick, “As an appetizer, our Meyer Lemon Blueberry breakfast tart and a Cinnamon Roll, followed by a Bloody Caesar to wash it down, and our Short Rib Eggs Benedict with house made English muffin.”

McFall says “We are looking forward to being a part of the Palm Springs neighborhood.” With such an appetizing a fun menu, we’re sure everyone is excited about experiencing the environment at Wilma & Frieda.
