How to Give Mom the Perfect Virtual Mother’s Day

Here’s 5 Ways to Say ‘I Love You, Mom’ This Mother’s Day

Written By: Taylor Gorski Virtual Mother’s Day

As we know by now, celebrations aren’t canceled—they just look a bit different this year. Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 10, and although you may not be able to visit Mom on this day, we’re showing you how to celebrate virtually. If you’re lucky enough to be quarantined with your mom, give her a little extra love. And if you’re using technology to stay connected on the 10th, make her feel special with a few of these surprises.

1 | Sweet Surprise Virtual Mother’s Day

Shop small and support local shops by sending Mom a handcrafted gift from a local artisan. From dainty jewelry to cozy candles, these Southern California artisans are creating gifts with lots of love.

Give Mom a new loungewear fit; Vuori is offering pre-wrapped and decorated gifts to be delivered straight to her door. Shop trendy vintage pieces for the one-of-a-kind momma online at Lander’s Supply House

For the creative mom, curate a Sugar Paper Los Angeles gift box (filled with items like journals, candles and cards) from Lido Marina Village. Shop everything from coffee table books to bath bombs from Hi Sweetheart’s website, a gift boutique in La Jolla, and have gifts directly shipped to your mom’s home.

Looking to really treat Mom this year? Browse some bling and give her the gift of diamonds from Hyde ParkMorgan’s JewelersLeeds & SonTourneau or Winston’s Crown Jewelers.

For the mom who loves to travel, surprise her with a gift certificate to Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa, Indian Wells, Miramonte Indian Wells Resort & Spa or Agua Caliente in the Palm Springs area. It’ll be something for her to look forward to!

2 | Floral Fever Virtual Mother’s Day

Sending a floral arrangement is always a thoughtful gesture, but why not make DIY floral arrangements this year? Make a list of three or four different flower types to purchase at the store, plan a time to Facetime or Zoom with your mom and create flower arrangements together! This is a great activity to brighten up your day and bring a pop of color to your home. For arrangement inspiration, check this out. And while you’re creating flower arrangements, sip on a Lillet Spritz.

3 | Cheers to Mom

A Lillet Spritz is the perfect, refreshing cocktail for Mom on her day. The best part? You can use Drizly to send her the supplies to make her very own. Toast Mom over Facetime with this springtime cocktail—pinkies up! Garnish this drink with mint and fresh fruit.

What You’ll Need:
3 parts Lillet
3 parts tonic
Fresh or frozen fruit
Ice
