I’m Riley Beek, a lifestyle/wellness influencer who also runs one of Instagram’s largest female-followed comedy accounts, @bitc.h. Originally from Newport Beach, I now reside in Manhattan Beach with my long-time boyfriend and business partner, Blake. My happy place is in my kitchen, where I’m constantly creating new healthy recipes to share with my audience, while also adding a bit of humor to the process! I’m passionate about making healthy living both fun and accessible to all. I had the best time visiting some of my favorite spots around Manhattan, including my favorite juice bar, restaurant and go-to shopping spots.

Homie

Homie was the very first spot I ever grabbed a coffee and a bite when I moved to MB two years ago. The name suits the atmosphere—as soon as you step through the door of Homie, you are made to feel right at home. It’s a cozy space that serves up some of the city’s best coffee as well as healthy breakfast and lunch selections. Their latest addition is a cute boutique in the back of the store. It’s the perfect place to grab a coffee, a quick bite or small gift on the run.

Kreation Organic Juicery

Whether it’s a juice or coffee kind of morning, Kreation is my one-stop shop for the best healthy selections in town. Their wide variety of fresh salads, cold-pressed juices and raw desserts are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth craving without the guilt! All of their items are prepared fresh and packaged daily, so it’s a great option when I’m crunched for time.

If you’re in need of cute, quality (did I mention cute?) active wear, Hermosa Girl Boutique is the place for you. As a self-proclaimed workout fanatic, I am always stopping by this sweet boutique to check out their latest styles in leggings, sports bras and hoodies. Who said you can’t look cute when you sweat?

Not only do I love the name of this local gallery (okay, maybe I’m biased), but their collection of bright, eclectic art and photography is major eye candy. There is truly never a dull painting hung on their wall, and most of the artists are local residents which is so cool. I loved stopping by and seeing what new additions they added to their beautifully curated gallery.

Fun fact about me: I always have a sweet tooth, and Gelato and Angels is one of my favorite treats in town! I love the variety of flavors they have to choose from, there’s definitely something for everyone here. My personal recommendation is their house-made ice cream sandwiches, which consist of gelato sandwiched between a croissant and drizzled with chocolate sauce. Delicious!

The Beehive is the first shopping experience I had when I moved to Manhattan Beach and has been on my hit list since! Aside from their gorgeous interior, The Beehive boasts luxury clothing brands, home goods and fine jewelry that will make any girl swoon. In addition, they also have an assortment of fine jewelry and accessories that make the perfect gift. It’ll have you buzzing!

There is no better place in Manhattan Beach to watch the sunset from than the pier. I also love grabbing a coffee early in the morning and taking a stroll down the pier to watch the surfers and soak in the view. At the end of the pier is the newly-renovated aquarium that’s free to the public! It’s the best spot in town for a picturesque photo and full 180-degree view of Manhattan Beach. On a clear day, you can stand on the end of the pier and see all the way to Santa Monica and Malibu.

Rock’N Fish

If you love good seafood and steak, definitely head over to Rock’N Fish for some of the best in South Bay. Their vast menu and authentic craft cocktails make for the perfect post-beach meal. This place is always bustling, and for good reason, the food is absolutely phenomenal. Tip: try their Tahitian Ahi Tuna Salad and a Hibiscus Margarita, my personal favorite!
