You can choose from classes like abstract painting, collage, frame loom weaving and etching. “The museum is a great place to learn art from professional artists,” says Leonardo Bravo, Director of Education and Public Programs at Palm Springs Art Museum. “It’s for people who want to get inspiration across a broad range of mediums.”

No matter what your financial situation is, the Old Town Artisan Studio can help you become more creative. “We’re a nonprofit organization that works with outreach groups, and we offer classes in a variety of different mediums” notes Thomas Burns, Executive Director of the studio. Old Town Artisan Studio also brings art to the greater desert community. Their new course offerings include a silk scarf workshop, abstract painting and mixed media collage.

It Takes a Village

Discover a New Passion
DAC offers a variety of classes to adult students. The instructors are successful artists who welcome novice students and will give advice on what is needed to get started in each medium.
