The desert is in bloom. There’s never been a better to time to make the move to this dynamic locale. With world-class cuisine, shopping, natural beauty and museums all within reach, not to mention the relaxed feeling that takes hold when in this special valley, it’s the perfect location to set up your primary residence or vacation home. These five area experts can artfully help make that dream a reality! We asked each about the benefits of life in the valley, what sets them apart and more.

Rich Nolan, The Agency

Q: What sets you apart from other realtors?

Rich Nolan: Hard work goes without saying. I try to capitalize on making connections and building relationships; going out of my way to help others and treating not just my clients, but also fellow realtors with the same respect.

Q: What are some of your favorite aspects or features of the desert?

RN: The desert has really changed. I grew up in the Coachella Valley, but it just keeps getting better and better. It offers a great lifestyle. There’s always something going on and you’re only two hours away from everything else.

Q: What would you say to someone considering a move to the desert? Or even a seasonal lease?

RN: I am starting to see more people moving to the desert full time and even a young demographic of people that can work remotely. I say go for it! You won’t want to leave.

Q: What is one of your favorite things about being a real estate agent here in GPS?

RN: We have some of the most amazing architectural and luxury homes right here in the GPS. I love that!

Q: Soon after you started out, the downturn of 2008 happened. Was this your biggest professional challenge to date?

RN: You could see it coming, you just didn’t know when exactly the ball would drop; I remember the exact day. I knew that the market would come back eventually and I had to ride it out at all cost.
