Restaurants aren’t the only ones taking their services al fresco these days. If you’re missing your workout routine and are ready to shed the quarantine 15, you’re in luck: fitness services across Orange County are moving their equipment outside in effort to comply with safety regulations (and keep you lookin’ fit). Here’s eight gyms that have taken their classes to the streets for a fresh-air fitness experience.
1 | Renaissance ClubSport Outdoor Workouts Orange County
South Orange County’s top-tier fitness resort, Renaissance ClubSport, has taken their equipment, classes, pool access and childcare outdoors. ClubSport members and hotel guests now have access to 30 outdoor, instructor-guided group fitness classes per week, including cycling, yoga, HIIT and barre! The bottom floor of the ClubSport parking structure, nicknamed “The Garage,” has been transformed into a strength training zone, and all equipment is positioned throughout the property to adhere to physical distancing standards. And lucky for parents, ClubSport’s childcare facility is now outdoors, with a fully enclosed space and trained staff to keep kids safe and active. 2 | BOXHAUS Outdoor Workouts Orange County
Jab, Cross and get HOOKED on this insanely great workout at BOXHAUS in Long Beach! Low impact meets all-in-one cardio and strength at Row House! These high-energy group classes combine rowing intervals with floor and free weight exercises for the ultimate full body workout. Enjoy fresh air and an epic playlist as you row to the beat outside of the studio. Each rowing machine is spaced six feet apart and thoroughly sanitized between classes, so you can stay safe and still get your sweat on. In collaboration with Dana Point Harbor, iHeartYoga is offering a full schedule of barre, sculpt and yoga classes at their iHeartYoga outdoor studio at Lantern Bay Park. Choose either a class on the grass or on a stand-up paddleboard in the water! Practice your flow and enjoy beautiful harbor views as their instructors lead you through a series of poses.
