The Famous Eatery’s Sixth Los Angeles Location in West Hollywood

There used to be a time when The Halal Guys were only a New York City thing—a humble hot dog cart on the corner of West 53rd and 6th Avenue serving up mouthwatering halal meals to hungry cab drivers and other New Yorkers. What started in 1990 as NYC’s first Halal food cart by three Egyptian immigrants, has turned into five carts, two NYC restaurants, and a growing number of restaurants throughout the US and the world. The Halal Guys made their grand opening on West Hollywood’s bustling Santa Monica Boulevard in August, where they were met with fans lining up for hours to welcome the restaurant and enjoy their food. The first couple hundred customers got their hands on some giveaways like free food, exclusive swag and limited edition pins which could later be used to redeem more swag and promotions in the future! And of course, there was a DJ playing some mixes and providing tunes for what really was a party complete with balloons and a photo backdrop for the ‘gram. Halal Guys West Hollywood
People have long lined up behind their famous red and yellow umbrella covered carts for their famous combo platter, so it’s safe to say that it’s a great first timer’s choice. The combo platter comes with both their freshly grilled chicken and their broiled gyro over their buttered rice, along with lettuce, tomatoes, and warm pita bread. Cover it up with their famous white sauce on top, and you’re set! Want some heat? Opt for their delicious hot sauce, but do so with caution because it really is spicy!
Not a meat eater? The Halal Guys have you covered with their flavorful falafels that can go in either a platter or in a sandwich. While the sandwiches and platters taste amazing by themselves, you’re not going to want to skimp on sides of their creamy hummus, smoky baba ganouj, French fries and even more falafels.
And let’s not forget about dessert. The Halal Guys offers everyone’s favorite filo layered, sweetly doused, nut packed delicacy, Baklava. It really brings your meal full circle.
The Halal Guys on West Hollywood will be open until 2 a.m., which makes it a great place for late night cravings! Their other locations are in Long Beach, Cerritos, Koreatown, Downtown Los Angeles and Glendale. Make sure to visit the new location and see what makes them so famous!
