Get Ready for a Full Year of Hello Kitty in OC

First, there was the Hello Kitty Pop-Up at Irvine Spectrum, and now Sanrio, Inc. is bringing the Hello Kitty and Tanaka Farms partnership to OC—brace yourself—for a full year. That’s right! You’ll be able to enjoy your favorite Sanrio characters, including Keroppi, Chococat, My Melody and Pochacco for a whole year starting with the ever-so-popular pumpkin patch.
“Tanaka Farms welcomes Sanrio into the family and we look forward to a year of farming with Hello Kitty and Sanrio friends,” said Glenn Tanaka, Owner of Tanaka Farms, in a press release.
Tanaka Farms will be incorporating Hello Kitty and her friends into the educational programs, making them more fun, and let’s be honest, cute. Visitors of all ages are invited to join in on these programs that will focus on having a healthy diet, sustainability and farming responsibly.
The best part? You’ll also have plenty of opportunities for selfies with your favorite characters—especially Hello Kitty herself!

When will you get your chance for a day in the sun with the Sanrio friends? Sept. 30 kicks off with the opening of the Tanaka Farms’ Pumpkin Patch. Guests will be able to enjoy a corn maze, petting zoo and more! Continuing the festivities on Oct. 28, there will be a Sanrio Costume Contest with appearances by Hello Kitty. Other events to look forward to include the Christmas Tree Farm in December, strawberry picking in spring and a melon celebration in the summer.
