Idyllwild Jazz

Silver Anniversary

Celebrate the Jazz Festival’s 25th year in the mountain town of Idyllwild, California where you can watch more than two dozen bands among wild pines and fellow music festival lovers. The breathtaking 205-acre Idyllwild Arts mountain campus holds several stages to watch performances—like the Holmes Amphitheater Main Stage, where you can sit underneath the shade of colorful parachutes or the Stephens Recital Hall, an interior space where you can hear and feel the intimate acoustic performances.

Artists For All Ages

Whether you’re a seasoned Jazz fan or new to the scene, there is a range of established and up-and-coming jazz, blues and R&B performers waiting for you. Jazz in the Pines has young artists ready to give a lively, fresh performance and pros who know just what the crowd wants to see and hear. From co-founder Marshall Hawkins, who learned at the knees of Miles Davis, to the Pete Escovedo Orchestra to American Idol star Casey Abrams, the line-up for the weekend won’t disappoint. Plus, on Sunday, you’ll be treated to a unique, first-time performance by the Idyllwild Arts Academy Student Combo!

For a Great Time and a Great Cause

Debating on paying the price to go? Your money will be spent wisely. Not only are you able to enjoy the sights and sounds of the weekend festival, you’re also supporting the Idyllwild Art Academy Scholarship Program. Funds from this event benefit Idyllwild Arts and the non-profit’s effort to provide pre-professional training to the student body of gifted young artists.

Location, Location, Location

The music and the views will be at competition. The outdoor venues of the festival will allow you to experience a range of incredible music while surrounded by majestic soaring trees.

New Orleans Cookin’

The music festival doesn’t start until Saturday, but the food starts on Friday night at the exclusive annual Patrons Dinner held on the Idyllwild Arts Academy campus. Thanks to the “Riverside French Quarter” theme, you can fill your stomach with classic New Orleans cuisine and drinks that will make you feel like you’re sitting at the famous Cafe du Monde or a bar on Bourbon Street. You can attend the dinner and enjoy live music, food and a yearly silent auction by purchasing the VIP All-Access Passage.

Small Town Vibes

You won’t believe the quaint town of Idyllwild is only two hours away from Los Angeles. As one of the top 100 artist towns in the US, Idyllwild is home to a world-class community of artists, locally-owned shops and restaurants, and some of the best scenery, hiking and rock climbing in the country.
