Since 1977, King’s Hawaiian offers customers a taste of tropical paradise with a menu chock-full of tropical cakes and traditional Hawaiian fare. Sweet and savory aromas, along with ukulele melodies make this family-owned Torrance restaurant and bakery feel like an island vacation— without the pricey plane ticket.
Renowned for their famous Hawaiian rolls, King’s Hawaiian has also turned heads with their delectable dishes. The miso salmon bowl features a delicate salmon fillet that’s topped with stir-fry vegetables, drizzled with spicy sriracha mayonnaise and served atop a cloud of steamed rice; the famous Spam Musubi & Saimin is a delicious homemade noodle soup with fried Spam, which is wrapped in flavorful edible seaweed. The entire menu is a wide variety of crowd favorites!
If you’re looking to taste the best of Hawaii, however, we recommend the Mix Combination Plate. With this dish you’re sure to get the most bang for your buck. Served family-style, the plate is packed with three mouthwatering meats: Huli Huli boneless chicken, marinated for 24 hours then charbroiled over open flames; teriyaki beef that is thinly sliced and chargrilled with housemade sauce; and the best pulled kalua pork, which is slowly smoked. The plate is served with steamed rice, homemade potato macaroni salad and a side of lomi salmon that resembles ceviche. Leave paradise satisfied—and possibly with leftovers!
