Do you have a love for fine Italian food and/or Hello Kitty? Well, the marriage of these two is in motion until Nov. 12 at Antonello Ristorante in Santa Ana. Sanrio, Inc. and Antonello are partnering to promote the Hello Kitty Wine Collection! Rejoice in flavorful dishes and memorable wine pairings, wonderful company, and the celebration of a character that has been loved worldwide for 42 years.
The Hello Kitty menu at Antonello boasts unique dishes sure to make for an amazing experience. Hello Kitty-shaped watermelon slices—and a white chocolate bow, feta cheese, extra virgin olive oil and fig balsamic will kick off the four-course menu. Honoring Hello Kitty’s famed bow once more in the second course, beet-infused bowtie pasta join with a rich and flavorful Alfredo sauce. The third course serves up braised and boneless short ribs, beautifully plated over saffron risotto. Of course, you cannot forget about dessert! Hello Kitty-shaped flourless chocolate cake greets you just when you think there can’t be anything better than what you’ve already dined upon. Dark chocolate semifreddo tops the sweet dish off. This four-course experience is only $35.95 and the perfect treat for a meal with a loved one or friends. From the natural color infusion to the shapes of the menu items, Hello Kitty dances all throughout the menu at Antonello.
Let’s not forget about the star of the show, though: the wine. “In addition to the Hello Kitty food menu, our adult fans may also enjoy the Hello Kitty wine to complement their delicious meal, ” David Marchi, Vice President for Brand Management and Marketing at Sanrio, Inc., shared in a statement. Hello Kitty food and wine? Sign us up! Guests of Antonello get the chance to indulge in either a sparkling rosé, sparkling brut, and a limited edition “Pink Sweet” sparkling rosé.
The wine collection, a licensed product from Europe, is produced in partnership with Torti Wines. Exclusively served at Antonello Ristorante, fans of the fine beverage can find it at select wine and grocery stores as well.
