I’ve seen shapely birds, layered hearts, a smiley face and even my own gorgeous mug delicately painted with the flick of a wrist onto that tiny canvas. But the question is, when it comes to latte art, who is the Da Vinci and who is the Picasso?
On Monday, July 16 at 6 p.m., experience a Latte Art Throwdown via Ernest Coffee on North Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs. The spot will set the stage for these artists to perform for the masses, showing who is the best of the best when it comes to these miraculously milk-based—or almond milk, if you prefer—creations. It’s the first time they’ve hosted an event of this café-caliber, and you won’t be disappointed.
Coffee connoisseurs will come from far and wide to show off their skills, with first, second and third place winners getting a piece of $500, and a free night at the neighboring Arrive Palm Springs as their prize. If you feel like your creative streak goes beyond a paintbrush, try your luck with a cup.
