It started as a shared dream. Then it transformed into a conversation, which emerged as a full-blown brand. And now, it’s a movement that’s inspiring others to take the first step on their own path of self-discovery.

That’s how Los Angeles-based footwear founders Patrick Dancy and Chris Stevens describe the evolution of their new men’s shoe brand, LGND Footwear. Designed for the modern man who demands comfort and style, LGND shoes represent everyday versatility at its best, transitioning from the gym to the street with ease.

Dancy, a former actor known for his work in ‘90s sitcoms, and Stevens, a business executive who was born-and-raised in Los Angeles, first met at the gym. Dancy is warm, outgoing and contagiously energetic. Stevens has a quiet strength with a relentless focus and determination. They are both fast-paced, hard-working guys with high standards for themselves and others.

At the gym, both Dancy and Stevens were known as the two always willing to offer advice. They enjoyed mentoring those new to fitness and were the first to extend a hand. Over time, they began building a community rooted in perpetual self-improvement, supporting each other along the way.

“Patrick and I have different personalities,” says Stevens, “but we have a one-of-a-kind synergy. We wondered what would happen if we expanded the mission catalyzed at the gym.”

Invested in and inspired by the community they built, Dancy and Stevens realized there was an obvious void in men’s footwear. There wasn’t a shoe that supported the demanding and goal-oriented lives the founders led and motivated others to pursue, both in and out of the gym. Founding LGND Footwear was an organic next step.

Two shoe styles are currently available: the CALI and the LEO. They have the sole of a sneaker, but the outward appearance of a combat boot. They’re tough yet comfortable, attractive yet practical. They look good in any situation and even look better as they wear. They’re exactly what Dancy and Stevens envisioned.

“We created a shoe that looks good but also makes you feel good,” Dancy explains. “When you lace up your LGND boots, you’re given a boost of confidence. You stand up a little taller. You feel like you can take on anything the day throws at you.” shoe brands Los Angeles

The shoes appeal to a variety of styles, but the LGND message resonates to all. Fitness influencers, dads, business owners, models, schoolteachers and others have shared photos of their own LGND shoes on Instagram, connected by the hashtag #LeaveYourMark. shoe brands Los Angeles

“One of the biggest lessons Patrick and I have learned is [that] you don’t have to pursue your goals alone,” Stevens says. “We’re building a supportive network, so all are empowered to change their lives, positively impact their communities and leave their own mark on the world.”

The unwavering vision and hard work that made LGND a reality paves the way for the brand’s exciting future. shoe brands Los Angeles
