Lido Bottle Works Offers an Elevated Pairing Menu That Shines

When dining at a restaurant, or even taking a meal to go to enjoy at home, it should be an experience. Lido Bottle Works offers just that: a thoughtfully curated pairing menu where different flavors shine through drinks and dishes. Brett Karas, general manager and operating partner at Lido Bottle Works, says, “It’s important to give the guest a surprising experience, and a lot of that you can find in suggestive pairings that we do. Ultimately, that’s what people want when they visit Lido Bottle Works—that experience and the surprise of not knowing that two things could go so well together.” One of Lido Bottle Works’ most popular pairings is the Dawn Patrol paired with the Chocolate Truffle Bar.
“The Dawn Patrol is one of our craft cocktails using fermented vodka. The vodka, coffee, coconut and chocolate really highlight the same taste that you find in our chocolate truffle bar,” Karas explains. The chocolate truffle bar is beautifully presented with flower petals, sea salt and honeycomb. Ending a meal with this is sure to satisfy.
Another favorite pairing is the Waygu Short Rib and grenache wine (which gives off a contrasting flavor of strawberry and cherry notes). “Another fun one that we just acquired is a beer from Mikkeller that uses fruit from one of our local produce farms called Sunny Cal Farms. It pairs well with the same apples we receive from the farm, so it really goes full circle,” Karas adds.

Not to be overlooked is the restaurant’s bottle shop, which sells drinks from craft breweries and small wine producers in California. Karas explains, “It’s important to have the bottle shop because there are so many craft beer and wine possibilities out there, giving people the option to choose different preferences or tastes. Karas wants customers to know that you can expect the same great local produce and fresh beer from Lido Bottle Works during the pandemic: “We do a lot of seasonal changes representing the freshest ingredients, fresh new dishes and we change our tacos and soups daily.
