The Catalina Island Chili Cookoff

The Rotary Club of Avalon Foundation will host the 10th Annual Catalina

Island Chili Cook-off on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at South Beach in Avalon. The all-ages event brings together chili cooks from the island and beyond to compete for over $3,000 in prize money, with proceeds benefiting Avalon Rotary Club’s Foundation.

Attendees can sample chili entries judged in two categories — Judges Best Chili and People’s Choice Chili — while enjoying beer and wine, food, and live music. General admission tickets are $25 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-11; children under 5 are admitted free. Judging begins at noon.
