5 Reasons to Attend Locale’s 9th Annual Luau Beachside Party—#3 Get Lit With Polynesian Fire Dancers

Party With a Purpose—Red, White & Luau Proceeds to Benefit Beach Clean-Up and Conservation

Written By: Amber June Davis 4th of July HB

July plans in place? Before you bounce from barbecue to backyard burger barbecue this Independence Day, pre-party on the 3rd of July at the Red, White & Luau: LOCALE Magazine’s 9th annual Pacific Island-style party benefiting beach clean-up and conservation. Spend an evening at the posh Paséa Hotel and Spa, sampling local drinks and food with a can’t-miss ocean view. All proceeds from the evening are donated to Surfrider Foundation, and all picture-perfect memories go to you. Here’s a rundown of what to expect at this fabulous beachside bash:

1 | Put a Little Lillet Spritz in Your Step 4th of July HB

Sip your cares away as you step in to play. Every Red, White & Luau ticket purchase includes a complimentary cocktail. Our French Aperitif of the hour, the light and bubbly Lillet Spritz, is the ideal mood-setter.

2 | A Bit of This, a Bite of That

. . . and that, and that, and that. With fresh food samples from 15 local restaurants, you’ll be grazing the best grub. Vendors include: URBANA Mexican Gastronomy & Mixology, Descanso, Balboa Lily’s, Haute Productions, Tanner’s, The Cannery, Sense Catering, Rancho Capistrano Catering, Nirvana Grille, Kebab Place and more.

3 | The Entertainment Is Lit 4th of July HB

No, literally. Traditional Polynesian Fire Dancers and Hula Dancers are slated as the evening’s entertainment, and come on—how often do you get a chance to see that? These talented performers will transport you to a tropical getaway in no time.

4 | Pretty in Posh

A Meritage Collection Resort, Paséa Hotel & Spa is no slouch in the atmosphere department. Luxe contemporary style, scenic Pacific views and stellar service add up to location times three. We’d spend a Wednesday night here, or any night, even without the party!

5 | Chillin’ for Charity

If the first four reasons weren’t enough to convince you, grab a Red, White & Luau ticket for this one alone: the Surfrider Foundation Huntington Beach/Seal Beach Chapter has cleaned over 6,000 pounds of trash off our public beaches just in 2019. All proceeds from this event benefit the conservation, activism, research and education efforts of this non-profit organization, which translates to cleaner beaches for us all.

Now that you’re obviously sold on being there, hop over to Eventbrite for your tickets (ranging from $20-99), and take note: there is limited valet parking available on the premises. Parking may be available at Pacific City next door, or you may find street parking. We suggest UBER, LYFT or a ride from a friend. And please, do not drink and drive!
