Bites, Sips and Potential Celeb Sightings? We’re There!

Summer is upon us, and as the days get longer, the opportunities to soak in the Cali rays increase. Cue our upcoming Issue Release party, June 7th from 7-9 p.m. We have planned a night of drinks, bites, music, fun and philanthropy to kick off what will be a summer to remember, living up to what we used to write in our friends’ middle school yearbooks, “H.A.G.S.” In celebration of the recent release of our Los Angeles May issue, we decided to throw a soirée to show LA how much we love the city and its sunshine, palm trees and all-around awesomeness. The event can’t be missed, and for $10 you get so many goodies.

Drinks
Upon arrival, you will receive one complimentary cocktail per guest, which will be provided by Truly—the perfect drink for warmer temps and social shindigs. You will also be given two drink tickets for cocktails by LA Speakeasy, as well as beer and wine if that fits your fancy. Also on the drink menu, we recommend you try the “2 Fast, 2 Fruitious” which includes Milagro Tequila, fresh orange juice, fresh grapefruit juice and pomegranate. But if you really want the fun to “be-gin,” try the “617hp of Freedom” with Hendricks Gin, fresh cucumber, fresh lime juice and lavender. Thirsty yet?

Food
A plethora of local restaurants will be on hand, like Sea Level, who will be serving Cucumber Tomato Gazpacho and Citrus Marinated Rock Shrimp. El Segundo’s own Rock & Brews will have Tri-Tip for the carnivores. The Sushi Chef Institute will whip up some Yukari salmon rolls, furikake California rolls and tuna poke hand rolls. And last but not least, Kirari West will provide vegan brownies, chocolate chip cookies and muffins—all gluten-free, of course!
But Wait, There’s More!
Aside from the libations and food, guests will witness the special unveiling of the luxe BMW M5, courtesy of South Bay BMW. Music will also be a guest star of the evening, with Follow MDA and Acoustic Spot keeping your feet tapping and hips swaying as the night goes on. Plus, attendees can take advantage of our photo booth and activations via a tasting of the deliciously guilt-free Truly Spiked and Sparkling. Cheers!
At the Heart of It All
Let’s finish things off with the most important aspect of the event, which is that all proceeds will benefit the Torrance Memorial Medical Center Auxiliary.
