Whether you want to spend your New Year’s Eve enjoying a relaxing sunset on the beach, getting dolled up to watch fireworks on the Queen Mary, partying hard at celebrity hotspots, or starting 2017 in a happy state of food coma, we have all the best NYE destinations in Los Angeles lined up for you.

New Year in LA

NYE Eateries

The Federal Bar

The Federal Bar is a loved Long Beach gastropub built in a former bank – the ceilings are tall, and chandeliers and wooden walls give the whole restaurant a warm amber glow. For New Year’s Eve, the Federal Bar will feature a special holiday menu, which includes a three course meal of an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. One of my favorite pairings is the Duck Confit Salad (that has arugula with a tangy berry dressing, mandarin oranges, spiced walnuts, and hard poached quail eggs), Bone in Ribeye (which is cooked to tenderness with peppercorn bordelaise, and sides of bacon fat sweet potato puree, sautéed red chard, and roasted garlic), and Chocolate Mousse (which is fluffy, with small shavings of chocolate, and comes decorated with a macaroon, a churro, and fresh strawberries. The other things they offer are Carrot Ginger Soup, Penne Pecorino, Bone in Ribeye, Lobster Risotto, Roasted Chicken, and Bordeaux Poached Pear & Baklava. For drinks, they have a wide selection of beers, wines, and specialty cocktails. One of my favorite cocktails is the Barrel Aged Blood Old Fashion.
