The glass display case is full of enticing goodies, and the drink menu offers all the classics. First time here? We recommend pairing a cinnamon pull apart with a latte—make it a large if you want to keep your hands warm on the next stop.

2 | Crystal Clear Newport Beach Itinerary

Crystal Cove State Park

After you’ve fueled up, jump in the car for a quick cruise down the coast to Crystal Cove State Park for some hiking. There’s plenty of parking (be prepared to pay for it, though), and you’ll enjoy views of the ocean and the surrounding natural coastline. And don’t worry about your level of experience—there are optional ramps and hills, so you can create your own challenges while breathing in that fresh morning air.

3 | Brunch + Brews Newport Beach Itinerary

It’s an undebatable fact that the perfect day has to include brunch, so now that you’ve worked up an appetite, head over to Helmsman Ale House! Whether you’re brunchin’ for the food, the brew or both, Helmsman is sure to hit the spot. Enjoy a vibrant atmosphere, comfortable seating on their indoor and outdoor patio and a menu full of deliciousness. Brunch menu highlights? The Helmsman Hash, Blueberry Banana Bread French Toast and, of course, the Full Speed Bloody that comes with pickled egg, bacon, an everything bagel seasoning rim and a shot on the side. The beach is small and secluded, making it the perfect place to unwind and relax as you enjoy golden hour or watch the sunset. Don’t forget to bring your speakers to set the mood with some tunes.

The perfect ending to the perfect day? It has to be a delicious meal and a refreshing margarita—and there’s no better place to do that than at El Cholo! Seated on PCH in Corona del Mar, this renowned restaurant offers plenty of people-watching and an extensive menu of famous Mexican food. From traditional plates, such as the Sonora Style enchilada and the green corn tamales, to remixed recipes like filet mignon tacos and a Mexican chopped vegetable salad, El Cholo has something to please everyone. And if you’re looking to keep the party going after dinner, feel free to take some margaritas to-go to enjoy comfortably at home!
