We can customize our kicks, print bae’s face on our leggings, personalize our bling and now at Italy-based O bag, we can design handbags that are as unique as mom says we are. So, andiamo a Irvine Spectrum Center and let your imagination run wild!

Step One: Build Your O bag Body

At O bag, the first and most important selection you’ll make, the body, is the foundation of your creation. “The O Classic is our most popular style,” says Paola Ruggero, owner of O bag. “O stands for original—this is what O bag is all about. Our bags are for the person who wants a distinctive, Italian-styled bag at an accessible price.” The O Classic, a traditional bucket shape offered in dozens of colors, finishes and textures, is the perfect choice for customers looking for a mid-sized shopper. Other popular body styles: The O Classic Mini and the O Pocket, two of more than two-dozen body shapes. Decisions, decisions!

Step Two: Build Your Inner O bag

The Inner Bag keeps your stuff secure with either a zipper or drawstring and comes in solid and print fabrics. This is where your O bag starts coming to life through a broad range of solid colors—from neutrals to neons—or with prints ranging from classic tweeds and nautical stripes to whimsical ice cream cones and tropical hibiscus. “Because our focus in on originality, we typically get only one or two of each inner bag liners each season,” says Ruggero. “Part of the fun is changing specific components and completely recreating the bag.”

Step Three: Build Your O bag Handles and Straps

“Our customers prefer very practical handles like shoulder straps and cross-body styles,” says Ruggero, who offers guidance on the appropriate handle and strap length based on the individual’s height, wear preference and bag style. Hate when you switch out bags and leave a critical item behind? Problem solved! “If you change the strap from faux leather to let’s say, a rope style, the bag transforms from a professional bag into a weekend or beach bag.” Did we mention O bags are water resistant? #extra

Step Four: Build Your O bag Trims

“Winter is all about faux fur,” says Ruggero. O bag has more than 100 trim options in varying textures, fabrics, colors and prints, and its faux fur trims are favorites for fall. “The bag can be as casual or fancy as the customer wants it to be—it’s very subjective,” continued Ruggero. O bags’ trims serve as the artistic focal point that can convert an everyday bag to a statement piece. Although from our perspective, with unlimited combinations and looks, every O bag is a statement!
